i would not have bet on fed if nadal hadnt undergone that 5 setter. i really dont like to bet on the player who makes more unforced errors. that's my tennis philosophy in a nutshell!

That 5 setter is why I pulled the trigger right after the match. I underestimated Nadal, that willbe the last time I do that.

It's not that bad you just have to refresh 20 times in 20 seconds. During Commercials that last 30 seconds.

yeah... i wasnt going to do it at all, just kinda checked on a whim after the third and it was there for once.

his shots are just amazing. there have been about five poitns this match that would have been winners against every other player on tour and he not only returned them but hit winners off them.

what a shame. they're going to say that nadal won it but that's not what happened. fed lost it. look at him pull out the two-minute offense and instant td. nadal can't play any better, fed has aces in the hole. why he doesn't use them i dont understand. too passive the whole match.

federer blew it. his mental fear to go on the attack lost him this match.

This is why i never could like him.
He's a front runner, the same way Sampras was ( but to a lesser degree)

This is supposed to be the greatest tennis player ever, and he blows like that the fifth set of a major ?

And he was like this since the start of his career ...

Wow, what a match guys. Hate for anyone to lose. However, I'm convinced after tonight that Rafa is not human. After the unbelievable Verdasco match (which I excruciatingly lost $$$ on) and this thing goes to 5 sets and he wins??? :scared Never saw that outcome happening. Could see Rafa doing it in straights or 3-1, but not in 5 after that grueling last match. Rafa is officially in Roger's head. Much more determination on the Mallorcan side. He certainly backed up his supposed #1 ranking tonight. Between staying up for Rafa-Verdasco and this Rafa-Fed beauty, I can say that I have watched some of the best that tennis has to offer. It sure was entertaining, though. It's a shame this sport isn't more popular than it is in the US. Personally, I love the game and it is every bit as watchable as most American favorites.

I take it you never saw the Rome final a few years back.
Fed completely desintegrated mentally after blowing 2 match points in the fifth.

It's a great thing Rafa is there to expose Fed's weak mental. No other player on the tour can do that.

Was alluding more to the fatigue factor, there crow. Didn't catch the match in which you are referring to, though. Anyway, I thought Fed would have a clear edge if taken to 5. Learned that Rafa is simply tireless and Fed, indeed, has some frailties. Bravo to Rafa!

Fed's majors came at the expense of a very weak tour. Thank God Nadal came along or else people would be falsely claiming Fed as the GOAT in sports history.

Things are going to be harder and harder for Fed as he ages; his great shotmaking won't be able to compensate for his increasingly lazy footwork , and him winning other majors outside the next 15 months period becomes a question mark.

Nadal, on the other hand, might have a shot at a grand slam.
