scott,
who's Louisville's best on ball defender, who closes out best, who shoots Fts best in last 2 mins, who gives best WS help, who sets the best picks, who hedges best on ballscreens, who talks best on D to alert teammates, who feeds the post best, who gets backpicked like clockwork, who fronts the low post best, who denies best, who boxes the best, who boxes the worst, who doesn't come back and meet the ball, who looks off defenders best on plus # breaks, who forgets to watch back for Louisville, who never forgets to watch back, who truly wants the ball at the end of a game, which LOU player will dive for a looseball when he appears to only have 40% chance of getting it but somehow will get it, who forgets to cut out on FTs, who can't run a play right in crunch time, who can't assimilate coach Pitinos ad lib adjustment to an inbounds play during a 30 second timeout, who is in best shape on Louisville, which team put in the best new wrinkles, who can best force a man to his weak hand, who contests the perimter shot best, who has best footwork and touch on low post if you need to post up anyone, who bothers the dribbler the most, who can cloak a man and not worry about helping if Williams gets hot or Brown, how many 1/2 and fullcourt traps does LOU have and how does Illini repsond to those, where does Lou pick up on defense: (halfcourt, 1/4 crt, 2/3rds, full), do they funnel ball to sidelines, are they a baseline push team, do Illini play better when they are sent to specific spots on the floor by a defense?
Try gauging those things instead of hgt. and who played who and alibiing about 2 best players in foul trouble scenarios. Are the few things I mentioned above things you truly understand and assimilate into your capping--are these all things even John Wooden or Red Auerbach could predict 1-2-3 how they will play out? Of course not.
Hence my comment to this will happen then that will happen ...
But I'm sure you have all these things factored into your capping b/c you understand the game so thoroughly
