Max was interviewing Floyd and Mos and Hop entered the ring. Things got heated, fighters were pulled back, and Max was looking rather nervous. I've never seen him like that. Ater things calmed down he tried to finish the interview with Floyd and Floyd was just a rude prick. Max was doing his best to be professional but Floyd told him to be quiet and that he talks to much....end of interview. Not sure what else ensued but 5 mins later Floyd left to jeers and boos and it looked like the fans were throwing things at Floyd as he put on his robe hood and was ducking. Here was Floyds opportunity to endear himself to fans and possibly say his prior comments were simply fight hype. Masterful performance in the ring but once again he drops the ball big time in public relations.

ok thanks

I read a article where Floyd was asked if it was worth it to come back, he replied yeh for another 200 -300 million it is .
Its sad someone like him could get that much cash.

i`m sorry,i gotta ask some questions on this issue... something doesn`t add up...

firstly,i didn`t see the fight or the aftermath...

floyd`s an onnoxious gangsta` wannbe....i get it...we all get it...

he just got through embarrassing my favorite fighter fair and square in the ring(i know about the 2 pounds...i doubt that changed the outcome...but that`s a whole `nother issue).....

so,he tries to have his moment after his victory and the dlh gang(who backed marquez, btw)comes in the ring and pisses on his leg?...turns the whole post fight interview into a wrassling fiasco?....

am i getting the gist?...

and mayweather`s the bad guy?....

what am i not getting here?...

i`m sure hbo,who is in oscar`s pocket(or vice-versa)was fine with putting a turd in the mayweather punchbowl...and i`m doubting that max had anything harsh to say about the behavior of the dlh crew....i can`t picture a long time boxing guy like max kellerman getting his skirt blown up by a little woofing in the ring.....or mayweather getting belligerent...i`m guessing he was being about as respectful as that second banana on espn`s boxing show who loves being a rude prick when interviewing mayweather....

i don`t like mayweather either...the whole clan is hard to stomach...but i`m not sure WE`RE all being fair because of our dislike for the mayweathers...

was this really mayweather`s fault?...sounds more like the dlh crew(who i`m growing to dislike quite a bit)were a tad out of line here....

again,i`m going by the <s>spoken</s> written word as i didn`t see it first hand...r

i guess i`ll watch for myself saturday....

Floyd is very cagey and will never answer a direct question that doesn't appeal to him. He obviously took offense to being called out on his choosy ways right after his initial win after being gone awhile. Probably inappropriate at that very moment but I enjoyed it just the same. He get's a pass here for this fight (I picked Marquez and was trying to will him a win) but let's say he says that he now wants to set the record straight against Jose Luis Castillo (Hey, that would be a typical Floydism :142smilie :mj07: ) in his next outing, or some similar type of Floyd rationalization, his fan base will become even a smaller island than it is now - I would hope. But he'll always have a vocal, and annoying, minority that will support anything he says and does.

with all due respect, you didn`t address what went down in the ring after the fight...you just went on another bash floyd rant...

i notice that some gave marquez a chance(not all that many on this forum...this board is pretty savvy..and graham had it pegged)...and now that it was non-competitve,it was floyd beating up the smaller guy(btw,i also believed that`s how oscar/manny would go down:shrug: )...if i recall, manny was life and death beating the man that floyd just drubbed..twice...we can`t have it both ways...

seems pretty obvious from here that the next logical fight...the motherlode, would be floyd/manny....

now, i know for a fact that many believe manny pwns mayweather...i`ve read it..pacquaio`s invincible, haven`t you heard?......

so,i guess if mayweather beats pacquaio,we just keep moving the bar until he gets to the point that his reflexes are shot or he fights a naturally bigger guy like moseley?....

if he beats manny, of course, the bar will just keep being moved ...because in matters regarding mayweather, there`s a derangemnent syndrome that seems to infect normally rational, savvy boxing afficionados...it`ll never be finished until mayweather is disposed of..

if i were mayweather,i`d take the biggest money fight(manny) and get out...

he has to realize that he`ll never be popular or be given credit by some boxing fans...that doesn`t change his talent or what he`s accomplished... ....and i admit, his personality and lifestyle are repellent to many(myself included)....

he`s not a likable guy....if you`re into humble,decent classy boxers,you obviously weren`t an ali fan...not a finisher,a safety first fighter...and he was a loudmouthed,borish p.o.s....

but, didn`t seem to hurt his legacy...that`s because he was the darling of the liberal media...all forgiven

he got a pass...floyd?....not so much...

Mayweather-talks the talk, BUT, walks the walk.

Not so fast.
He fought yesterday a 36 year old featherweight; he was 5 years younger, faster, and bigger.
He only managed a flash early knockdown and let his foe go the distance.

Marquez didn't have the tools to get him out of his comfort zone; so PBF coasted without taking any chances;he looked better as ever.

But he's still a one armed fighter with fragile mitts refusing to face real opposition.

Pac will give him all he can handle should they meet.

I'd be very satisfied if Floyd fights Manny.

And if Floyd intends on sticking around at 147 after that I think he should fight top guys like Mosley,Cotto and Berto. Other acceptable fights would be the Q - Carlos Quintana or even Luis Collazo. If he doesn't fight any of these guys after the dust clears with Pacquiao, one way or the other, then I don't think he's serious about meeting top contenders in his division at or near their primes.

These are my opinions on what went down Garden.

Mayweather started of by being very nice and humble but would not answer Kelleman's tougher questions such as the extra 2 pounds.

Shane did the right thing by calling Money May out in public. It might be the only way he gets the fight. He was not being nastry about it, he shook May's hand and said he wanted to fight him.

Hopkins butts in and becomes the HUGE instigator. Max loses control.

Mayweather also did the right thing by telling Mosley that he does not jump into the ring when it's HIS moment in the spotlight.

A visibly pissed Mayweather snatches the mike from Max and tells him he talks too much and it's his turn to do the talking.
Max takes offence, throws his skirt over his head and throws the action back to lampley.

Mayweather looked great in the fight BUT he is still too safety first. He could have been the first to stop JMM if he only opened up but would not take that chance.
Mayweather will murder Pac if they fight. Mosley will give Mayweather a tougher fight than Pac.

Just my feelings.

That's essentially the way it went down. Max was just doing his job and i thought he was being a professional. May was obviously upset at the ring entrance of mos and Hop and i think he took his anger out on Max. Like Max or not, snatching the mic and telling Max he talks too much is unacceptable.

I agree Floyd beats Pac but I'm not so crazy about a Floyd /Mos fight either. Floyd is probably going to wait and let Mos get just a little bit older. PW is the fight I want to see and I don't see it ever happening :( .

If Pacquiao smokes Cotto I'm sure some opinions will shift (again) on the poss outcome of PacMan vs. Floyd. It's only natural to be high on the guy that looked good most recently. And the fact that Floyd looked good against a guy that troubled Pac is a good thing for the potential match-up. (Of course, we should still look at how Floyd and Pac looked against the 2 other common opponents they share) At this moment, Floyd may feel very confident about the prospect of facing Pacquiao and he stands to get completely out of debt if he takes that fight. But if Pacquiao KO's Cotto, Floyd may lose interest in the possibility of facing the PacMan. We'll see how it all plays out - which is good for the game.

When May fought Hatton many felt Hatton could KO him. So he easily destroys Hatton and once again all sorts of excuses why Hatton lost. Look, the biggest, useless SOB is Oscar. He LOST to Sturm, but gets a middle title so he could get embarressed by Hopkins. Had no business fighting Pac-man and quitting. Mayweather gets all the heat because of his toxic personality and big mouth, but he is one of the most gifted guys you will see in your lifetime. There are guys in THIS forum that felt Marquez had a VERY good chance to win. But he gets punished so it was a fluke once again. I do agree, he seems to favor his right hand which leads me to believe it may be fuked up. If he fights and beats Mosley it will because Mosley was old. If he beats Pac-man it will be because Pac-man was too small. And the beat goes on. The guy can't win no matter what he does.

I think he'll get plenty of credit if he beats these men. He certainly will from me. Those 2 opponents are more than reasonable. I suppose there will be some haters that won't give him credit no matter what he does and that is not right. It's easy to dislike Floyd but if he takes on and beats the best then kudo's are due and deserved.
