I think Anderson is too well rounded and more skilled at every aspect. Shogun gassed thus Forrest won. If Griffin stands and strikes ala Chris Leben it will be a quick fight. Please dont bring up the Rampage fight either, the difference in striking between Page and Silva is night and day. I think the 205 weight class is far better for Anderson in my opinion,

One thing is for sure.
If the Spider wants a guy to stand and throw then he has found his man.

Just heard this rumor, if it is true, I will take Forrest. What do you think Spider walks around at??? Maybe 200 maybe 210 max, absolute max if he lifts daily. Forrest will come in on fight night at his usual 220 possibly as big as 235, spider will be outweighed by 30 pounds and I think Griffin needs to get in the win column so he could try to take him down and pound him out.

Spider does have a chance because he is a counter striker and forrest doesnt know how to reverse so if he catches him right but I'll take my chances on Spider. Would love to see this fight but hate to see someone lose as these are two of my favorites. Give spider Dan Henderson again, that will be the best fight and will allow him to stay at 185. I hope Hendo pounds Bisping. Bisping is just overrated. Plain and simple.

I saw this earlier today but thought it was from a bs site so I put no stock in it.

If it did happen it would be an interesting fight. If it was 5 rounds I would say Silva in a heart beat because at some point he would catch Forrest but in a 3 rounder I could easily see Forrest gnp'ing his way to a boring win. I still say Anderson could win the 205 belt but I think Forrest would be one of the guys that's a bad matchup for him. Too much size as Coach says. Saying that, I would never count Anderson out vs anyone. He's just too precise with his striking.

Soares confirmed that Silva would like a fight with Emelianenko and said that size wouldn?t be an issue. Silva walks around between fights at 215 and Emelianenko fights around 230.

Like i said 205 is a better weight class for him.

I think you guys are forgetting how great Anderson is on the ground. I mean he put Lutter in a triangle.

Forrest's guard looked awful against an average bjj guy in Evans.

These are my 2 favorite fighters..

but like Kobe once said.. You shake a tree.. a leopard is gonna fall out

Well one thing is for sure...........

Anderson needs to step up and fight. If he does what he's done in last two fights Dana will friggen explode:scared

Forrest will engage, he'll make the fight exciting. Only thing that sucks about this fight is that if Forrest wins (I think Forrest has great shot at winning) then the super-fight of GSP/Anderson won't happen. GSP will beat Alves with ease at UFC 100 so when UFC 101 rolls around it will be perfect to announce the GSP/Anderson fight. But if Anderson goes down to Forrest then that won't happen.

Something tells me there will be a HUGE BONUS for either fighter to KO the other one. And I am not talking about the "KO of the night" bonus you hear about. I'm talking about the "cash in the paper bag" bonus we know nothing about.

Funny thing is wanderlai has been talking trash to anderson.. but no one cares anymore since wandy is washed up and not relevant. He would surely bang with Anderson, and end up being decapitated like in the rampage fight.

I just pray Dana doesnt match up Boring Bisping vs Anderson is he wins, make Bisping fight Maia afterwards. Let Anderson fight Cung lee or GSP next... If GSP walks thru Alves (i think thiago wins), then he should move up to 185..

Good stuff guys, didnt know we had some mma experts in here :toast:

#1- I'm sorry, but Forrest isn't going to weigh in at 205-206 and then gain 30 pounds over night...

#2- Anderson says fighting at 205 is NO PROBLEM at all for him...

#3- Forrest is a great matchup...FOR ANDERSON...Forrest is overaggressive, his ground game defense is average at best, and he's very hittable...

#4- Anderson via KO/TKO...

I think you guys are forgetting how great Anderson is on the ground. I mean he put Lutter in a triangle.

Pretty much well said...Forrest strengths play right into Andersons hands...

#1- GSP won't handle Alves like you think. This is the first time, maybe EVER, that GSP is fighting someone that he's NOT bigger than. He's actually fighting someone with legitimate hands as well, not some pony wrestler who works on their striking(Hughes/Koscheck)...

#2- You don't want GSP vs Anderson...I don't understand why you can't see why it's such a bad matchup for GSP...

#3- You're an idiot if you think the UFC offers up "cash in the paper bag," shit like eliteXC. Dana White actually cares about the sport and they don't do that bullshit...

Funny thing is wanderlai has been talking trash to anderson.. but no one cares anymore since wandy is washed up and not relevant. He would surely bang with Anderson, and end up being decapitated like in the rampage fight.

No one cares anymore? Are you really that oblivious to the sport? Maybe not within the US, but throughout the ENTIRE WORLD, Wandy vs Anderson is HUUUUGE on so many levels....

Wandy has lost 4 of his last 5 to 4 guys who will go down as LEGENDS of the sport....

Rowdy........I guess last week when Dana was doing an interview right here on local TV when he said he gives cash to a fighter right after the fight he was lying huh. Dana has said 100's of times he gives cash to fighters after fights. In the whole Randy fiasco he was even stating that he's given "cash bonuses" to Randy. Remember when Randy was pissed that Fedor was being offered more then Randy and when Dana said that Randy would be the "highest paid star in the UFC" and then Randy found out that Chuck made more. Dana used the "cash bonus" as a reply to that statement.

Rowdy you need to know what you are talking about before you call me an idiot.

I mean for fucks sake Dana himself has said he's given cash to fighters after a fight....wake up.

LMFAO, there's a huge difference. You are trying to equate "hush hush money offerings" and "wink wink, go ko him" incentives to cash handed out after fights....

Nice try, dumbass. IT IS FUCKING ILLEGAL to do what you are implying, and not only did Dana have a tirade about it, the comission did serious investigating of EliteXC about it!

You are an idiot, because you don't know what you're talking about...

Umm rowdy buddy......offering a bonus to win by KO is not illegal you idiot.

Telling somebody that they can't "take the guy down" is illegal (EliteXc).

It is not 'hush money" if you tell everyone you gave out the money now is it.

Holy crap Rowdy....wake up:scared

Well i know there are the nuthuggers who will always love wandy and think he has a chance to win a belt again, but i go on facts.. fact is ever since he came over to the ufc and they started testing he has been below average, any other fighter would be cut by now..
His skills havent evolved like the top guys..

You are implying that the UFC is, and has told guys, "hey, make sure this fight ends in KO, or submission, etc..."- While that is completely illegal.

There's a huge difference of offering KO/SUB/Fight of the night versus the UFC literally going to fighters/fights and suggesting how the fight should be fought...--THAT IS ILLEGAL

Wake up? LoL...I find that very COMICAL coming from YOU...:director: :mj07:

Evolved? Wandy has fought the same way his whole life, not sure what you're expecting all of the sudden....

Testing?...Rua, Rampage, Nog?
