EXACTLY what I was thinking... unfortunately.

He gets up between 4 and 5; has some coffee; and wants to talk about his "magazine reading" at 6.

Thanks for reminding me about Schwan's. You would think I would remember to order from these guys since I loaded up on their stuff when I was a kid.

did u get any angus burgers yet?

The angus burgers are #458 and they are damn good. You cant just throw these on the grill and walk away either because when the fat starts cooking out of them you'll have an inferno.
Definately not for those looking to shave off a few pounds, but they are by far, the best burgers I've ever had.

I guess I'll try them. That's a strong endorsement.

There are 8 burgers in a box of the 458's with 2 burgers per pack. I'd also recommend thawing them first (and not in the microwave either). Throw a pack in the fridge the night before so they thaw out and season them how you normally like em. I usually throw mine on the grill, followed by a splash of beer, then some seasonall. I also have some Montreal steak seasoning that I sometimes use.
I'm telling you, when these babies start cooking the grill will flame up bigtime. Let the flames sear the burger but it will burn the hell out of it if you arent moving them around and flipping em constantly.
I take a box or two of these in the pits at the races every now and then and the vultures come out of the woodwork. :mj07:
If you are a burger man Jack, you won't ever buy anything else.

:142smilie My guy comes every other week too. But if I want something and call him he will make a special trip and hook me up if he is in the area. Prolly because I spend 70 or 80 bucks every time he stops. I know Schwans stuff is pricey, but its super convienient and I'm all about that. If you've ever seen the Schwans guy open the door of his truck, its the same view when you open the freezer in my basement.

How are their products overall. Good quality? good prices? What are the favorites? Thanks

Schwans really has good stuff. No they don't have good prices. The stuff is pretty spendy. I get the sliced beef and mashed potatoes alot to make for my son and I once a week (dont feel like preparing a big meal after work). The shrimp skewers are awesome. They have a pot roast that I make in the crock pot that is good.
Funny thing is, Schwans was always thought of for the ice cream and I don't even buy ice cream from them

90% of the time we don't even answer the door when he comes. :mj07:

I can see him pull up through my office window and I'll just yell out Schwan Man. If nobody wants anything, we don't answer :mj07:

He can even see me sitting here if he looks around the corner when it's dark out.

I told him, if we're not in the market, sorry, we aren't answering the door, no hard feelings

I was on the site the other day and it looked like a lot of their stuff was as cheap, if not cheaper than the stuff at the store. For instance, I think the pot pies were 4 for $10? The pot pies I get at the store are the same size and I think they are close to $4 each. And the ice cream looks to be cheaper than the ice cream I buy. Then again, there are some things I buy where I don't really like the generic brand (ice cream is one of them), so maybe it all depends on the brand you typically buy.
