Following the money on this one, but also have some reasoning below. Line opened with Schiavone as a very slight favorite and it moved up relatively quickly with some shops now showing -130 to -135.

ANDREEA MITU -130 over Francesca Schiavone x4 units

Playing on the younger and taller Romanian here is in good form of late, especially on clay, and has been rising up the rankings, just recently breaking into the top 100. Schiavone, a previous champion and runner-up at Roland Garros who has been on the decline the past few years, has not played well on clay surface this year. She is also coming off a grueling almost 4 hour match with Kuznetsova, with whom she has a history of playing long matches in the past. In the 2011 Australian Open Round of 16, the two faced off for 4+ hours in a memorable match that Schiavone won to advance to the quarterfinals. She went on to lose in the next round to Wozniacki, who beat her in 3 sets after dropping the first to the Italian, who was playing at her peak at that point in her career. Adding to the fatigue factor, the following quote from Schiavone might be cause for concern...

?I don?t know how much of it is magic, or how much of it is working and just keeping going, and believing in something that looks so far away but it?s so close,? Schiavone said.
?I feel like every match for me is great history now. Doesn?t matter where I am. Doesn?t matter the score. Everything is a bonus for me now. I?m just living like this, that?s all. I?m here in the third round, and I?ll try to keep going.?
