He will do much better at Wimbledon pal.
maybe, maybe not. Don't get me wrong, he's got a world of upside. Easily top 12 by years end, and probably top 7 or 8 in talent barring injury. For sure the most upside of any up and coming player.
but him and Isner have the same problem, although I think Raonic has a much bigger upside and is definitely going to have a better career. They both have ridiculous serves, but can't break serves. Raonic can't go five sets without breaking serve and expect to win. Guys like Monaco will wear him out. Same with Isner. No matter how big a weapon their serve is they are still going to be broken a few times by upper echelon competition and if they can't find ways to break their opponents they just won't reach the top.
I could easily see Raonic winning a major or two in the next 4 or 5 years if he works on his return game. Probably not for Isner, but same situation. They both need to work on their return game. Just have to.
Tsonga is opposite. Really good at breaking opponents but loses way to many of his service games or he could win a major in the next couple years as the top 3 deteriorate. Personally outside of Tsonga would love to see Ferrer win one. Theres nobodys game I respect more, for being a small guy in stature and without the talent of Nadal, he truly is the epitome of the engine that won't quit. No one has more heart with less natural talent than him.
As for the ATP being boring, I disagree, but to each their own. But I understand where you are coming from, because it would be a shock if joker and Nadal aren't playing next Sunday.
