USC scored 70pts @home against Arkansas.
USC scored 50pts @home against Fresno St..

Arkansas scored 17pts against USC.
Fresno St. scored 42pts against USC.

USC took starters out in 3q against Arkansas.
USC played starters all 4 quarters against Fresno St.
USC 2nd string offense moved the ball and scored on Arkansas 1st string defense. USC 3rd string walk on QB threw a TD pass against Arkansas 1st string D.

Arkansas plays in the SEC.
Fresno St. plays in the WAC.

Arkansas lost @Alabama 23-14 despite outgaining them in yards.

Arkansas was beating Auburn 10-6 at halftime. Arky was losing to 42-10 at halftime against USC. Arky had same amount of yards offensively against both USC and AU. Only difference is Arky only faced USC starting D for 2.5 quarters.

Arkansas lost @Georgia 23-10 despite having over 100 more yards offense than Georiga. USC outgained Arky by 400 yards and starters only played 2.5 quarters.

Arkansas lost to South Carolina 14-10 despite outgaining them over 100 yards offense. Again, USC outgained Arky by 400 yards offense.

Arkansas did beat Ole Miss by 11 and Misss. ST. by 34.

This last week Arkansas played @LSU and lost 19-17. Arky had missed 2 FG's and had ball on 50 for game winning potential drive at end of 4th. LSU needed a special teams TD to put up 19pts on that Arky defense. USC scored 70pts on that Arky D and played their starting offense for only 2.5 quarters.

Like most SEC teams, we should applaud Arkansas for big wins against Missouri State and La. Monroe. 2 solid wins! Arkanasas did the same thing Auburn did in OOC. Lose to the only BCS team they played, and beat the $hit out of the 2 directional schools.

Arkansas did just fine playing that tough SEC schedule and those directional schools in OOC. They didn't do too well against the only BCS school they played outside of conf. play. Auburn is the same. They do well in that tough SEC conf. play but very poorly in OOC play when they are challenged by BCS opponents. But give AU credit, they beat the $hit out of directional schools.

You simply have to be delirious to continue to pound the Pac 10. What was the last SEC team to be USC? When?

After SC-Fresno game all the USC/Pac 10 haters were all over USC. There defense is pathetic. They could never have beaten a top 10 team. Texas will shred their defense. Defense? what defense?

Then a Texas A&M team that would probably be 5th at best in Pac 10 throws a scare into the mighty Horns putting up 29 points.

Tell me about their defense? How Young responds to pressure? Yada Yada Yada.

What a dope... USC a bunch of losers. God they have only won 34 games in a row. You're a joke.

BTW - That same Fresno team you say sucks. Is the same team that Auburn turned them down to play. LOL.

Auburn football = irrelevant

You guys are right.

Fresno is a great team.

I'm sure Nevada just got some lucky breaks.

The Pac-10 is strong, and they always have been.

USC is not the only good team in the Pac-10. They are all excellent schools, with great football programs.

I'm glad we play such a soft OOC schedule along with cupcakes like LSU, Georgia, and Alabama every year, and Florida, Tennessee most years.

Scott, beating a 4-7 Arkansas team and running up the score and saying you dominate the SEC is like pimp-smacking Fredo and then claiming that you own the Corleone family.

Let me know when you guys beat the SEC champ ok?

How did USC run up the score? The starters were taken out of the game in the 3rd quarter. USC 2nd string offense drove the ball and scored on the Arkansas 1st string D. THEN USC put in 3rd string walk on QB and he threw a TD pass to USC's 3rd string TE. Give me a break USC was running up the score. USC scored 42 of their 70pts in the first 2 quarters.

Why are you bagging on Fresno St.? They are a very good team, well coached, and they live for beating BCS schools. USC was the biggest game EVER in the history of the Fresno St. program. Of course FSU was going to have a major let down the following week on the road against Nevada who actually has been playing good football lately. FSU is a program who gears itself on OOC more so than their conf. games. FSU has beaten BCS schools and always plays tough OOC schedule but always loses in conf. play. Why is that? They clearly put everything they got in OOC games.

AU2001 says Fresno St. sucks. Lets compare Fresno St. and Auburn against OOC BCS opponents.

2005

*Auburn played only 1 BCS opponent and lost by 9pts to G-Tech @AUBURN.

*Fresno St. played 2 BCS opponents, BOTH opponents on the road, both opponents ranked in the top 10, and lost @Oregon by 3pts and @USC by 8pts.

2004

*Auburn played ZERO BCS opponents. :mj07:

*Fresno St. played 2 BCS opponents and both opponents on the road! FSU beat Washington by 19pts and Kansas St. by 24pts. Back to back road games to start season! :scared Kansas St. was ranked #14 in the country when FSU beat them on the road!

2003

*Auburn actually played 2 BCS opponents and lost both games. AU lost to USC @AUBURN by 23pts and lost @G-Tech by 14pts.

*Fresno St. opened the season with 3 BCS opponents, 2/3 on the road. Lost @TN by 18pts. Beat Oregon St. by 2pts and lost @OU by 24pts. TN at the time played was #7 in the county and OU was #3 in the country.

No Auburn fan should say Fresno St. sucks. :nooo:

So. Cal
I agree with Scott on this one. I think the Pac-10 gets a bad rap and SEC is overated this year. Yes they are overated because every time we start the season the same SEC teams are right there top 25 and every year there is only 1 or 2 hanging any where near. This year is a good year for SEC but again I dont see them playing for NC

So Cal
Just explain this Auburn honk, if USC is bogus and the Pac 10 is so weak, how did USC manage to win their last two bowl games against stronger conferences? And how did the manage to dominate their opponents from those strong conferences in both games? Simple question - give simple answer without blubbering about the superman SEC.

Simple Answer: They didn't play anyone from the SEC in those bowl games like LSU 2003 or Auburn 2004. Got that Nick Nolte? :mj07:

Then how could they have lost to La Tech 2 years in a row Scott? A loss to Nevada the week before? They are not any good, quit trying to sell them as a good team. :mj14:

I guess that is right, USC hasn't played any good SEC teams - otherwise they would surely have lost. Didn't they beat Auburn a few years ago? I don't know what it would take for you and your ilk to admit that USC is a great team. They could run the table in the fearsome SEC and you would still find an excuse to run them down about something. It is pretty sad when you think about it, but some people just can't admit the truth when it is staring them in their face. How do you think USC would have fared in the SEC this year? Would they have finished in the top half?

USC is a great team.

The Pac 10 is weak.

Folks trying to somehow put the two together to mean the Pac 10 is strong or that USC is weak are wrong.

And what happens in a bowl game between 2 teams surely doesnt mean shit about their respective conferences.

We will see when USC absolutely dominates Texas in a month...
