Sport: NBA Basketball
Game: Boston Celtics @ Miami Heat - Friday November 30, 2007 8:00 pm
Detail: IC'S ONLY NBA PLAY FOR FRIDAY!

Pick: 3 units (Play of the Day) TOTAL: Over 188 (-110)

14 of 16 NBA Winners Basketball 2007: 36-16 (69%) NBA 2007: 28-12 (70%) College Basketball 2007: 8-4 (66%)

Back to Back Winning Weeks. If you're looking for a gutsy play today, you can look at the Knicks at home against the Bucks as historically they should play very well today, but this is the only play that I'm rolling with today getting ready for the weekend card and looking to set the scene for hopefully our 3rd straight winning week. The Celtics come one of the worst beat downs in the history of the NBA - going back to 1970. Keep in mind that these 2 teams already hooked up in a 1 point loss for the Heat on the road. I have talked about this detail with the research I put up on this game today but the bottom line is I feel that a game that totaled 183 points on the road - with a 5 point difference at 188 will go over today due to the fact, the Celtics play overs on the road as they are not as sharp on the road - notice their last 3 have gone over on the road as they have to rely on their offense more. The Heat have continued to hit overs since Wade has come back as I denoted about a week ago and their last 3 have gone over. I believe the Heat will look for revenge today and they will be active dogs which leads to overs in the principle that I follow - active dog/over. Tack on the fact that the Celtics are rested for this game not playing much in their previous game - none of the 3 studs played over 30 minutes yesterday and the Heat are rested for this game make for a sound over imo. The over is 9-2 when the Celtics are small favorites and the over is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in Miami. Research that went into this game: I'll tell you why this game is so interesting. Boston comes off one of the worst beat downs in the history of the recent NBA. This team gave that beat down because they were coming off a frustrating overtime loss to the Cavs and did not play overly well on their road trip. They also face a team that they beat by just 1 point in the Heat who are looking for revenge and Dwayne Wade is healthier now than he was in that game where he had called out Shaq before prior to that game and the Celtics were lucky to get out alive winning by a point. So, that sets the scene for tonight's game - where the Heat look for revenge - at home - while the Celtics look to play better on the road and prove that they continue to be elite on the road and finally look to have a dominating road win which they have not had in a while since the Pacer game. This game totaled at 183 last time in Boston and now this game is set at 188 in Miami. I have consistently said look for more overs for the Heat in Miami with the return of Wade and that is what is panning out as this team did not score worth of anything without him, but did get a bit deeper with their role players getting more experience when he was out - and now with Wade, they are enjoying scoring more points. Boston on the road has played 4 of 5 overs while the Heat have played 3 straight overs and 4 of 5 overs as well. Another note that makes this game interesting is that Ricky Davis plays his former team in the Celtics with his new team on his new home court and he will undoubtedly look forward to this game as well. I believe this game comes down to the wire and wouldn't be surprised to see an over take place here. The Celtics by the way are 3-0 straight up on the second half of a back to back according to the AP (associated press).

3 Star Selection
OREGON STATE (-3 ?) over Iowa State
30-Nov-07 08:00 PM Pacific Time
Oregon State struggled out of the gate this season with losses to Colorado State and at Alaska Fairbanks, but the Beavers have won and covered in their last 3 games and have become the improved team that I thought they?d be. Iowa State is not likely to be as good this season after coach Greg McDermott kicked their top player, G Mike Taylor, off the team in July. The Cyclones won their first two games over bad teams and have lost 3 straight, failing to cover in their last 2, against better teams. My ratings favor Oregon State by 4 points but the Beavers are playing better than their season rating right now and they qualify in a very strong 93-28-1 ATS situation that is 5-0 so far this season, including 3-0 when I?ve been on it for Best Bets. I?ll take Oregon State in a 3-Star Best Bet at -4 or less and for 2-Stars at -4 ? or -5 points.
3-Stars at -4 or less, 2-Stars at -4 1/2 or -5 points.
