double-dime bet508 DET -8.0 (-110) BetUS vs 507 CHI
Analysis:
The Pistons let Webber go after the end of LY's postseason and this year, moved McDyess into the starting lineup. So far so good, as Detroit is 13-5! All five starters are scoring in double digits with PF Maxiell (8.9-6.2), SF Hayes (8.5) and guard Murray (8.0) all making excellent contributions off the bench. Detroit eliminated Chicago from last season's conference semifinals in six games and both teams were expected to be back among the East's best teams this season. That has NOT been the case for Chicago. The Bulls did beat the Pistons 97-93 at Chicago on Nov 8 but it was the Bulls' first win after an 0-4 start. The Bulls failed to gain any momentum from last month's win over Detroit, losing six of their next seven, but they have played better recently with wins in three of their last four games. They are averaging 97.5 points in that span while making 44.0 percent from 3-point range, compared to an average of 86.5 points and 28.3 percent shooting from beyond the arc during their 2-10 start. Still, center Ben Wallace has been mostly a non-factor, while starting guards Gordon and Hinrich have been in season-long shooting slumps. Hinrich has been the worst offender, as his PPG are down from 16.6 to 10.1, while his FG percentage has dropped from 45 percent to 34! Gordon's point-production is down about three per game, while he's gone from 45.5 percent to 38.5 percent. Detroit enters this game on a five-game winning streak SU and ATS, outscoring opponents 108.2-86.2 PPG. Throw in some extra-motivation from that Nov 8 loss and it's "blowout city" tonight in Detroit. Weekly Wipeout Winner on the Det Pistons.
