1st Round Matchups:

B. Watson over S. Verplank (+100) @ carib PUSH
C. Wi over J. Overton (-130) @ carib CANCELLED

:canada1

Good looking out Bubba.. basically a home game for him. I hate it when your 1 round or 1 tourney late on a play.

Q. Does it help that you're playing at basically home?
ARRON OBERHOLSER: Oh, yeah, that always helps, because I'm going out there, and to me, it's just another Desert Marlin, the fun tournament we play out here at the beginning of the year that Dell puts on out here, and the boys, and to me it's just like that. I'm just going out there and -- I've played this golf course so many times, and I've been in every spot imaginable, so I'm very comfortable around it, and I really have no fear of any golf shot out there. Some are scarier than others, but I really don't fear any golf shots out there.

Q. How far do you live from here?
ARRON OBERHOLSER: Ten minutes north.

Q. When did you first play this course?
ARRON OBERHOLSER: This was my practice facility when I first moved down here in 2002. I've probably got at least 75 rounds on this thing, at least.

Info like that is always good to save for a rainy day..unfortunately it wasn't disclosed until after round 2.

Round 3 plays (2pts):

Mathias Gronberg to beat Todd Hamilton +100 @ Five Dimes
Two players showing little form in recent months, but this looks a good price to back a player in the top-10 at the start of the week against out of contention and outside the top-50.

Bill Haas to beat Steve Elkington -110 @ Five Dimes
Haas has been the better player from tee-to-green and if he had only played the par-3s averagely well he could have been leading this tournament.

Round 4 plays (2pts):

George McNeill to beat Kevin Sutherland -104 @ Unibet [also available @ Five Dimes]
Opposing a player who has a one-shot lead heading into the final round and who shot the low round of the day yesterday is two obvious angles in this matchup. Another is that Sutherland has held the lead heading into the final round just once in the last 10 years (2007 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am); he finished five shots back on that occasion.

Paul Goydos to beat Arron Oberholser -115 @ Five Dimes
Bob Tway to beat Arron Oberholser -105 @ Bet365
This may be a local course for Oberholser, but the effect of a long layoff with a recurring wrist problem were evident yesteryday: he started the day with a one-shot lead and ended it in 8th place, four shots behind Sutherland. His Tour Card exemption from winning the 2006 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am runs out this year and while he will be eligible for a medical extension next year, there should be a lot of pressure on today's round in order to at least make sure he makes the top-150 on the Money List. Had he been playing regularly and without injury this may have been possible, but I can't see it happening in his second week back on Tour.

I asked Pinnacle and this was their response:

Should you miss any lines on an event in the future, please let us know before it starts and we will ask our Linesmen Department if they will to offer the lines.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Seems strange to me. I've NEVER seen them shut down round 4 betting when they've offered betting for the first 3 rounds. What's up with that?

I keep on thinking our boy Stroud is gonna come thru, and he chokes on the latter holes. His first season was brutal.. so I'm not exactly sure if he can be disappointed with where he stands on the list.

He is Playing well, well enough to up at the top but like you said he has run outta of birdie gas, still making pars..He need to continue so he can keep his card, he is at 171, losing three spots.

A long way to go but he could pull a Beemer
