so i'm at my kids birthday party today at the bowling alley...

info - cost of party is per child. xx$ for each kid there.
bowling alley says that they will supply 1 pizza per 4 kids. at no extra charge to me.

i have 13 kids show up at the party.

how many pizzas should the bowling alley provide me?

size of the pizza or how it may be divided is irrelevant.

the thing to remember is that i am paying per kid, and the bowling alley says they will give me 1 pizza per 4 kids.

i ended up going to the mat on that topic. breaking out math on a napkin on the bar, then i got so fed up with them i went and started stacking bowling balls on the floor to further illustrate that it is clearly 4 pizzas i was entitled to.
I know, sounds petty, but with so much other substandard stuff they pulled, I had to take a stand somewhere.

another way to look at it..
if i show up with only 3 kids.. do i get a free pizza?
if i show up with 7 kids, do i get one free pizza? 7 kids gonna share that pizza?

and yes, i know... but the kids wanted the party there, so that is where it was. nothing i can do.

not to sound like an ass, but the bowling place was right, u should have only gotten 3 free pizza's, if you showed up with only 3 kids you should be entitled to 0 free pizza's (1 free per every 4 kids), not saying i agree with them but that is their policy......

negative. i thought they might be right, but they aren't.

think about it this way. replace "pizza" with "table"

for every 4 people at the party they will give us a table that is designed to hold no more than 4 people. i show up with 13 people. do they make the last guy stand the whole time?

and yes, all the pizzas were eaten.
