A new medal named in honor of John Kerry is called the "Purple Owie." It is worn directly over the wound in question. After use, it is rolled up and thrown over the nearest fence....... "Who has 3 purple hearts in 4 months but never spent a day in the hospital?"
Purple Hearts have never distinguished minor from severe wounds. That is a fact that is easy to verify. I know a guy who got a Purple Heart cuz he was ripped on French Beer in Nam and when mortar rounds came in he ran his own ass into barbed wire trying to get to his hole. Nevertheless, if you disrespect one Purple Heart you may as well disrespect them all and not just Kerry's. Why single his out?

How come Kerry can run around in a war zone, push those around him into life-threatening situations, then spend time making home movies of what he supposedly just heroically did, all in the name of having "good" fodder for his political life later, and nobody takes all this extreme offense to that? Amazing!
Clem, I have a feeling you are then next creation of Mr Eddie Sexual Harrassment. Could this be true? If not, then of whome or what were you in your previous life?
I know this may be hard for many of you to believe, but not all on this planet deserve respect in this world. It seems you have no problems disrespecting our current leader in power in many situations. Many cops have risked their lives during the course of their career, but are basically worthless otherwise. This goes for doctors, firemen, priests, teachers, vetenarians etc etc.
Please get over your Purple Heart Syndrome. It doesn't apply here and the award is not to be disrespected by being seen as a "GET OUT OF JAIL CARD".
Who Was I in a previous life? Well before the missus sucked the life out of me, I was a pretty good pool player, card player and bartender. Now I'm bald, fat and drunk. Sorry IO I just hate the negative tone that the repubs are running. Like I said earlier I never saw a sitting president have less to run on than this one and have to resort to nothing but character assasination.

The Repubs sat for quite a while during the early stages of this whole thing and really have gotten hearty of late as they lost some of their edge in the numbers. Most knew they weren't going to stand idley by and get torn up from the other side and the media. They need this as well because Bush doesn't come across as particularly nasty most of the time. I think they want all to know that the party still can scrum with the best of them.
I don't have the fat or bald part down, but am a professional binge drinker. May be practicing that art tonight as I am off tomorrow and the GF has no problem throwing back a few after her 12 hour day today.
