sorry Romi, you seem to have lost the most here. Ghost and I have been cold, not sure about Weepaul. The ghosts of Oscar is still floating around somewhere.

This is a shocker.

Yeah, 5.5 rounds is just ridiculous. If the price was +200 it would have been worth a play but those robbers are not even pricing it at even money but have the utter balls to throw out a -225 line on this under is simply wrong. Sorry to anyone that played this.

The ref was looking for an excuse to stop it from the fourth round on.

I will say this, Gamboa seems to have great stamina and should have gone all out from the start instead of boxing.
I hate when new trainers start Fuking around with a winning formula.
Gamboa started MUCH slower tonight.

He seems to be the type who kills you quick or go's a lot of rounds.
Not much middle ground.

My bad. I was expecting Gamboa to come out gunz a blazin to improve on Jhonnys KO. Thankfully they didnt offer 9 1/2 rd cause I'd be hurting bad right now. Not a good start to the year but PLENTY of fights comin our way and this will be made up soon.

Gamboa is a blaze but he's predicable and beatable by top practitioners. Look at how Speedy was able to simply block most of Gamboa's power shots. I'd like to see him against the Mongolian, fighting out of the UK, Choi Tseveenpurev. Gamboa's lucky most of the iron is at 122 and 130 right now. That's why he's at 126.

5.5 was just too low....and even so I think it was well within reach

sounds funny to say that (the stoppage didn't come till 40 seconds left in the bout)
but the bout was never in question, even with the knockdown

I was too tempted....and got snake bit....:nono:
sorry Romi, but you are solid
you'll be back strong sooner than later

alas, the loss tonight means no play for me tomorrow
Good luck Balsay players...he has a great shot !

one note about the Erdei fight
I agreed with Zerwas on the over 11.5
but Barashian came in heavy and the title is not on the line tomorrow
with no title motivation, i wonder if maybe that over is in jeopardy?

No plays in Germany for me
I am going to focus on Berto and Margarito

Good luck guys, even with tonight's loss, it's good to have pro boxing back !

Barashian was only a about a pound and a half over. I wonder why he didn't bother to make weight and fight for the title. Whatever. He has fought several times at 185 and is probably like a small cruiser. Still, he looked reasonably fit at the weigh-in and hopefully he's ready to go. I got him small at +600. He's a strong kid and Erdei has not looked stellar over the past 2 years.
