Republican. War Hero. Father. Gentleman.

A decent and honorable man for his entire life.

Proof that political party does not define who a man is. His life defines that.

If Donald Trump were a Democrat, he would still be a stinking heap of shit.

I'll give senior Bush credit for being the man he was, no doubt. RIP.

True, he would just be attacked/praised by different groups of people, which is a sad commentary about our country.

Imagine how much Hedgie would hate him if he were a Dem?!?

This vast praise of HWBush is nauseating. Especially from the left media who one blamed Bush directly for AIDS deaths. You don't recall your opinions of the man when the ashes of dead people were thrown on the White House lawn? Oh, that was just to get Clinton elected then? Just politics?
What about the rich white dude legacy? The CIA murders? Involvement in JFK death? I guess we just assume now that you didn't really believe any of that stuff?

He was a good man!:0008

It's a matter of perspective. When Bill Clinton passes how do you think people will react? Remember him as the great president he was or the adulterer?

Greg Grandin: George H.W. Bush?s 1989 Invasion of Panama Set the Stage for U.S. Wars to Come

The death of George H.W. Bush has dominated the U.S. news for days, but little attention has been paid to the defining event of Bush?s first year in office: the invasion of Panama. On December 19, 1989, Bush Sr. sent tens of thousands of troops into Panama, ostensibly to execute an arrest warrant against its leader, Manuel Noriega, on charges of drug trafficking. General Noriega was once a close ally to Washington and on the CIA payroll. In a nationally televised address, Bush claimed the invasion was needed to defend democracy in Panama. During the attack, the U.S. unleashed a force of 24,000 troops equipped with highly sophisticated weaponry and aircraft against a country with an army smaller than the New York City Police Department. An estimated 3,000 Panamanians died in the attack.

So, the media is just one big, completely interconnected entity.

You can't differentiate between media outlets. You can't differentiate between the voices and you can't tell the difference between reporters and pundits. You're the perfect audience for a guy like Limbaugh or Hannity. Easily influenced/confused. Come on.
