the two teams know each other very welll. Many have gone to high school together. This is a rivalry game. 13 points is an awful lot of points for a RIVALRY game.

Good Luck...

most old regulars know i'm a hurricane alumnus as well as a wolfpacker, so i've been to a few big games in the orange bowl over the years. no doubt it's a great home field for the 'canes, but freeze is right - it doesn't come close to most of the big 12, big 10 and sec schools. in most of those places, home football games are a subculture. as far as the game, i'm not a big fan of laying more than a td in a rivalry game like this, but i can't imagine betting on fsu. said it before, the seminoles defense and qb play are not up to past years, ans they're facing a miami team that is equal or superior to any of the national championship teams. ain't gonna bet it, but i think the 'canes score as much as they want to and cover by dd's.

That Quarterback Rix sucks. I'm not betting the game, but i suspect when Rix gets hit a few times, he'll roll and become the real squealer . LOL:lol:

One good thing Hellah you start out winning the game with 13 points... But i still can't forget that "hookslide" Rix took 2 yards short of the first down in that Louisville game. He is a pussy.

Good luck Hellah and thanks for those MAC reports !

Seminole Booster Doesn't Agree

Seminole Booster Doesn't Agree

You are a rich man if the Noles pull this out. Wish I could back your courageous selection but I can't say there's anyone here in Tally that would take the money line, tempting as it may be. Went to FSU 1987-90 and stayed in town; have attended every home game and big road game since. Will make the trek down to the O.B. and am not looking forward to it this year. Bad memories down there. Jimmy Johnson's 31-0 win. Wide Right II. How they outdueled Weinke two years ago in the final drive. Miami is not the best atmosphere except for 1 game: UM-FSU. They go nuts there and, trust me, it is intimidating. We've had better teams than UM many times but things have bit us in the ass in the OB from the open end zone and missed field goals to the crowd getting on Charlie Ward and Danny Kanell.

We are hurting this year on defense -- big time. Don't see how we can pressure Dorsey as the pass rush is still weak. Covered against Clemson but that was mainly due to the turnovers Tommy Bowden's team provided in their own red zone. Rix is booed by the student section; the alumni cringe when McPherson (0-6 last game) come out. Rix is hooksliding because he tries to run on every play and the coaches have hammered him to the point where he doesn't know what to do out there. Instinct says 'run' like he did in high school. Coaches say 'stay in the pocket'. Fans boo everytime he takes off now. We like Rix but aren't patient with him; he's getting better.

Been talking with boosters, alumni, those close with players and coaches: only chances for the Noles to take this outright:

Get Dorsey hurt (maybe Dockett's got another late hit in store); get lots of turnovers; bust Jones and Maddox loose and run that clock. Rix must think ball control and keep short passes to Boldin and Gardner. He can't beat that 2 deep zone (just remember last year). Nole caught up with controlled drives, taking 4-7 yards at a time. Miami dares you to do that. Need all of the above to occur to win by 7.

The spread is about right, Not used to be being 2 TD underdogs but don't see how the defense stops the Canes. UF coaches and BC coaches claim Canes are better this year with McGahee running wild. Hard to believe; we'll see. Miami 38-20.
