going to reno nv in oct

Been about 15 years for me. Place sucks . Everything is spread out and Craps tables were closing at 10pm. Unless u have a reason to go there other than gambling i wd go to Vegas. Think Legacy at the time was the best stay. Ya can pick 10 team parlays at Lake Tahoe. Very pretty area.
Downtown is a near dump.....lots of local "Ambiance." I swore I saw the same pan-handlers Downtown Vegas....Eldorado isn't too bad,next to Circus.
I had a cockroach walk across my dinner table at Cal Neva Club, he touted me a horse, so I left him alone....
Theres an Automobile Museum.....bowling arena and tons of Pawn Shops
Town is easy to get around in, Downtown is 15 minutes from airport, try the newer casinos on other side of town, Atlantis is
top notch.
Lake Tahoe is a nice drive...on the way is Carson City, there was a U.S. Coin Mint there 1870's till 1890's still standing, good historic tour of early Nevada history.
Only 4-5 big casinos at Tahoe, but lots of eye candy from California.

my roomie was my bowling parner in reno and he was recently divorced. he got an escort and she blew him in the cab on the way to the hotel. once they got to the hotel he was already done so they ended up on the bed watching titanic for the remainder 50 minutes.

I would have loved to Drive to Carson City etc when we were there but no time for anything but bowling and gambling. We didn't go this year. No loss on my account. We went camping this weekend and I started thinking about all the things I want to do when I get "older" and morbidity kind of set in. Now I feel like I have missed out on a lot of things. It's kind of depressing.

Perfect time to start traveling. Get your passport and do some island time. Some good deals if you look around!
30 destroyed me,40 was just another day. I agree with Jack. Best part is still ahead. Just as soon as I quit chasing my 12 year old around a base,basket/foot ball field life will slow down hopefully. We had 2 hours of basketball practice yesterday at school followed by 2 hours of baseball practice. Good thing he loves it cause its killing me. I hope to get in the poker tournament here but when you don't get home in time sorta hard to play!
