AGREE 100% COMPLETLEY RAYMOND. Its sad ive brought it up a number of times and people get offended when I say that it is very sad for the OFFENDERS family as well, I mean they are losing someone they grew up with/raised and the last thing they ever imagined was for their son to be a brutal killer...I mean, think about being the mother of a man who you raised and had christmas's with, and went on trips with, and took to their first day of school and then they go through lifes hard times and come out making critically wrong decisions that land them in San Quentin (California Death Row)...VEry sad stories for both sides, especially a couple of weeks before christmas

hopefully at some point soon there will be some closure, and they can try to move on. i think the press wont ever let the family move on. we still see nicole simpsons family on tv for stuff like this and that was 10 years ago. can you imagine being scotts family & believing his innocence to be dealt a blow like this. Truly tragic.

Holy Chit! Didn't see that one coming. Though the time of deliberation certainly seemed to mean that some were for death.

Well, we can call this the "O.J. Negative" trial.

So glad to hear that the jury did its duty.

Fry in hell Peterson.

This guy is a pyschopath with no concept of right from wrong. The parents proably have known he was a strange bird his whole
life.

Too many lies to cover and tape recordings that made him look
so guilty it was not funny.

I want to know how he didn't tip the boat over. I have fished many times form a 14 ft boat. And in very calm water. You still were very careful just when standing in that little boat. Now to roll a 150 lb pregnant woman and 4 or 5 20 lb anchors when your up tight and hoping no one will see you. I would need to see it done.

I do believe theres a big chance it woud take water and roll. The balance point on them is very small. Now if he tied her on and pulled her there might work. But dam can you see the pressure to try and not draw attention to your self. They never allowed any demo's in court to show if it would work. I wonder why? As a jury memeber I sure as hell would have asked before anyone got death.

djv, last I heard on the radio was a juror saying "if the bodies were found in the desert or the mountains, we wouldn't be here."

Fair ? But what about having the wrong bait, fishing at that time of day/year, etc. etc. I understand you want to give him the benefit of doubt, but, (bash as you see fit), no emotion or protests from the accused.

Maybe Geragos was right after all...it was a Satanic Cult.

Worst defense ever! His Lawyer wanted him fried. Anyone who followed the case knew there wasn't enough solid proof to prove guilt. The defense only had to put Scott on the stand and he could have beat it easy. He is a good enough lair to have the jury really confused and they would had, to let him go. All I can say is there is a GOD and Scott most likely got what he deserved and if he didn't kill them, he will be rewarded in heaven one day soon....

Is surprising sentence considering coming out CA--while I think he is probably guilty and support death penalty I am not so sure I could have done so here. There are 2 things that would make me apprehensive in giving death sentence to anyone and that would be circumstatial evidence and eye witness testimony as both would leave a shadow of a doubt.
---on Gerigos--when is the last time this high-priced mouthpiece won a case??I think his matter of fact claims always comeback to bite him.He said emphatically at start he would "prove" she never died on days forensnic people said she did--he failed to do so--Micheal Jackson dumped him--In his case with the Judd girl in shop lifting he said he would prove she was set up by security--never happened and she was convicted of 2 felonys--sooner or later they are going to have to put the loser tag on him.

If he had gone on the stand, during cross
you would have all seen what a guilty liar he
was and is.

Yeah, I think he did it, but I couldn't take a man's life on the evidence presented. There already have been innocent people put to death, the system is definately not perfect. I think killing him is wrong. After the appeals and legal stuff to follow, it will be far more costly to than just giving him life in prison.
