Got bit twice today

One time I was working at a job site and the redneck owner had two pit bulls that had bitten a neighbor across the street already and the police were called. These were big mature dogs and they are more dangerous when the two are together.
I had a welding trailer parked there and I needed it for a job we were doing.
I drive up hoping the guy would be there. I dont see anyone around.
I got my .45 in a shoulder holster, and a bag of bacon treats. So I get out and walk over to the trailer.
From around the corner here come the pits and they are wide open and not on rope or leash.
There was no way in hell I would have had time to pull the gun. They would have grabbed my arms anyway and the pressure from the bite would have immobilized me.
But I did get quickly to the bacon treats in my jacket pocket.
I pulled them out and started throwing them and the dogs slammed to a halt eating like they hadnt had a meal in days.
after they ate the whole bag, they wandered away. I hooked up the trailer and left.
I really could have got hurt with them dogs that day.
Yeah man, they bug me too and I am paying for it today as I am frigging sore as hell. The only reason I didn't was because she struck me as someone that would given the dogs up and they would have been put down. She got a citation and will have to attend an animal safety class which will cost her around a hundred bucks. I thought hitting her in the welfare check would sting more, ya know?
Don't get me wrong brother, I dove right into the middle of the fray so I had some culpability in the matter according to the courts I am sure. I wanted to get the aggressor on the ground to avoid any real injuries to my dogs or hers for that matter. Both her dogs were considerably larger than mine.

The "law" states that both of those dogs should have been taken in and held for 10 days. I went thru my neighbors dog biting a door hanger guy thru my screen door. They made us drop him off and leave him for 10 days and it wasn't a choice.

Hey Wood,
You are absolutely correct brother and in hindsight maybe I should have done just that. I never stated whether it was my own dog or her dog that bit me and I don't believe the police were interested in anything more than calming the cracken down. I had a long sleeve jacket on as well so I didn't see the arm right away, but my hand was visibly bleeding, so the more I think about it, the more it occurs to me that they, the police, were under some obligation to quarantine her animals. Oh well, I didn't want to see the dogs punished, I wanted the woman to feel it.
