His interpreter was just sentenced to 4 years for stealing and gambling 40 million ?!!!!! Hahaha. Nice sweetheart deal. If this doesn’t tell you this was obv Ohtani gambling and this guy took the fall. Then I have a bridge to sell you.

If anyone else does that . They would get 20/30 years. No doubt.

if passing time in jail isn’t hard enough, imagine waiting for the day a rich Asian man wearing Dodger blue is going to set you for the life the day you get out. What a story

Ohtani makes more than $40 million annually in endorsements alone. Ohtani's endorsement income is so high that it's more than some Major League Baseball teams spend on their entire rosters.

Paying the translator to take the fall is a drop in the bucket since he would lose out on all the above.

Of course. Thats not the point tho. In America we have two scales of justice. One for thee and not for me. This is egregious. A slap in the face to every American. Had I done that. Like I said. 20/30 years.

Also. For him to lose 40 million. It means it really cost him 80 million. Bc when he gets that dodger check. 50% is already taken out for taxes. So losing 80 million in earnings is a mega loss for anyone. No matter how much money you have. Supposedly he lives in a regular nice modest home. Not a mega mansion like LeBron and the rest of the big spending clowns. So he’s obv frugal. Just a degenerate gambler like us. lol. On a much different, stratospheric scale.

😂 !!

Let’s see what happens with this case. And we can revisit your “theory”

Supposedly this interpreter embezzled 40 million from Ohtani. Stole it. And gambled it. You embezzle 40 million. You’re looking at20/30 years. The amount dictates the sentence.

He only gets $2 million per year for 10 years then he gets the rest over the next 10 years.

I know. But the point is that 40 million. (Which i read is actually 17 million)The interpreter stole 17 million. Really cost him 34 million. Obv bc of taxes.

I’m sure he makes 25-50 mm a year with endorsements and in California you’re paying 50-60% tax before deductions.

Real life example of what you’ve shared here. I’m about an hour from Dixon, Illinois so this was all over the local news when she was finally caught.
You can google her name if you want all the details, but I thought the highlights were sufficient here.

Rita A. Crundwell (née Humphrey; born January 10, 1953) is the former comptroller and treasurer of Dixon, Illinois, from 1983 to 2012. She was fired in April 2012 after the discovery that she had embezzled $53.7 million from the city of Dixon for over 22 years to support her championship American Quarter Horsebreeding operation, as well as a lavish lifestyle away from work.[1][2][3] Her embezzlement has been described as the largest municipal fraud in U.S. history.[4] Crundwell pleaded guilty to her crimes and was sentenced to 19 1/2 years in prison.[

You can murder someone nowadays and get less time for embezzling millions.
