the cognitive dissonance is off the charts. they hear shit from right-wing media or their echo-chamber social media, and because it fits their worldview, they believe it. they post it here. we question it. offer facts that rebut it. and they go silent. happens Every. Fucking. Time.
i've said it before, and i'll say it again... i truly want to know what goes on in their brains when we challenge the bs they post. do any of them do their own research and realize they're wrong, but they're too cowardly to come back here and admit it? do they know as soon as we post the rebuttal that they're probably wrong, and they just ignore it?
wayne is probably the most disappointing. i have nothing but respect for the fact that he served this country. but that makes it even worse that he's voting for trump. he should know better. hell, he probably DOES know better, which is why he's been ignoring the questions.
i was going to start a thread about this, but may as well sum it up here.
maga voters, mostly working class, cannot name a single republican policy that would help the working class. not one.
maga voters don't care that trump just called the united states a "garbage can."
maga voters believe everything trump says. unless it's outrageous, in which case they say "you can't take him literally."
maga voters are told the country is falling apart. that everybody is struggling. that the last 4 years have been the worst in human history. but when you ask them how democratic policies over the last 4 years have made their lives worse, they have no response.
maga voters are incapable of thinking for themselves. they repeat whatever insane statements they're told, and disappear when they are questioned about it.
maga voters are in a cult. they love their dear leader, and anybody who speaks ill of him is immediately labeled "an enemy."
maga voters have convinced themselves that russia is our friend and putin is a "strong leader." oh, but they still somehow think communism/socialism is THE WORST.
maga voters say they're the party of law and order. and a big fan of the police. right up until they break the law and law enforcement tries to, well, enforce the law. then it's ok to assault police officers protecting the capitol and shoot at fbi agents when they come to arrest them.
maga voters only care about one thing... "owning the libs." no matter how much they damage this country in that quixotic quest.
