I'm with Wineguy as well. I was one of those stalkers that called out Hawkeye in the past. From 2016 to 2019 he posted a combined record of 588 - 484, good for a 54.9% winning percentage. However, he used to game his record using various tactics:
1. Count line movements after a pick is made but only if they went in his favor (he used to edit the original posts, now he at least acknowledges the line movement)
2. Picks made after kickoff (especially 2nd half picks)
3. Picks made with stale lines he'd claim he could get from a local but no one online was offering
4. Make vague references to games that weren't actually picks but he'd say was a pick IF it won
5. Make picks that have heavy juice (1st quarter team totals!!!) but he'd grade equal to all his other picks
If you account for all of that, his record was 547.75 - 534.25, good for 50.6%. Slightly above .500, but not enough to actual win money. If you're one of his cronies that actually thinks you could make money off his picks, you're only fooling yourself. He was an average capper, just like everyone else on this site. But at least he didn't use Thunder Math to say he'd be up 300% when he'd actually be bankrupt.

redsfann, I have followed you and followed hawkeye for years and was just sick of the bullcrap records and perfect lines he got, when I was losing money on them. Glad he got off his chest what he needed to, and hell yes, I miss his opinions, but just be real when it comes to wanting great records and how many views you get. His records were in no way what his bank account would have shown, especially with juice. Hate me all you want for posting the truth. AGAIN, I BET HIS PLAYS like others that followed did. Ironic no one can go back on threads past 6 pages or so. IE fixed this for me last year and NCAA basketball went from 6 pages to 900, yet they are gone again. IE, can you fix again please for basketball and football? Go back and look. Anyone.
He is I am sure a "great guy" and he could not meet all of us in Denver last summer for whatever reason he had, and that is fine. I am sure most guys on here are good guys having a beer with, golfing with, hanging at a bar with, being in Vegas together with, but don't be a fake record keeper and line grabber when you know you post it and guys are following you, and they lose yet you always pick the exact line 100% that wins, especially in line movement, and don't post crappy VIG that you lose (i.e. -120, -130, etc. ). I posted the only two I can reference above AND HIS bullcrap comments,in BOLDFACE because can't go back further. Again, sorry for the crap, but truth is truth. Look at his spinning just those two, and how far off the winning/losing lines are. I am done and thanks again to those that admit it is real. Sure wish last 3 years of basketball would show up like IE did last year, but they disappeared again when he got sick, someone would have a heyday looking at it.
Maybe you were right about the settings not going back. I have no idea how settings could have changed unless my webhost changed them when they moved the site to a new server. As an admin I can see everything but I signed in under a test account and see what you mean.

You and I are pretty easy going and enjoy hanging out, my wife included, but if crap was costing you money and someone else said they were winning, I think you would feel similar. I suck at capping, so follow many others for action and fun. Would have brought it up man to man at outing but he last minute couldn't make it. Whatever, if an outing was in my city for 4 days I would find a way to meet the guys if a first timer. Yeah, yeah, wasn't paying for his posts....but he misrepresented what he really was doing and that in turn is what new guys that join site will see. "his great record?" No, not at all. Hawk will post a line and if that line moved he would post that the line moved and that was his bet. He did it before gametime and not after the game was over. You could easily have adjusted your bets. Its very possible, like many people do, I will put a bet in for 1/4 of my normal size and then finish capping or wait on movement and then I would add the rest. So that means I have added the most money at the new number.
You really ran off a guy who was posting plays for free because YOU could not understand what he was doing? Your whiney ass comes across as a degenerate and desperate for someone else to give you winners... Then you blame that person win they do not win..
You guys posted Hawk's record and said he was hitting at just 54.9% or some shit like that... You do realize that is damn near enough of a win percentage to not need to work. If you are able to get -105 lines then it is plenty enough to not work. Its laughable.

Just disregard the line until his last post before gametime. And then use that line for record keeping purposes. It's pretty simple:shrug:
I hope Hawkeye returns, I always took his totals into account when placing a wager. I couldn't of cared less what his posted record was! His information was very useful!
