i didn`t have a great night(thank you matt skelton and a decision prop in juarez/john)....i do have some nice parlays pending thanks to marquez,though...

but obviously some on here did....congrats to those that cleaned the man`s clock....

nice work n.j. g.k.,,romi,wee,thong and whomever(not sure what spongy,tony or franks did for the day..my guess is they did well)...


marquez is an amazing athlete...he was getting pushed around in there by a bulkier,younger,naturally bigger kid....and when he went to the ropes,he took some punishment..got cut..it looked bad for awhile...

but the guy is so precise with those shots....those uppercuts and hooks...and i think some of those body shots set up the coup-de- grace.....beautiful to watch.... great night of fights....i`m gonna have to watcha a movie or force myself on the hosebag(not likely...lol).so i can eventually relax and get some sleep....

this is why we keep coming back to boxing....what f-cking ebb and flow...what excitement...

all 4 fighters were amazing...

i`m literally stunned by how good those fights were...

After watching this fight again i had a hard time giving Diaz any rounds. Round two when he hurt Marquz Marquez fired back 4 unanswered shots. Its one thing imposing ur will and strengh on another fighter but when u are getting out hit 3 to one doing it why are u winning rounds? Twenty seconds in Emauel already had Diaz winning and Lampley had Diaz winning the whole fight and had to bite his tongue after the knockout. Thankgod Max is there to give some balance or people would actually believe that garbage Lampley spews. I swear that fuker bets on these fights because nobody could be this blind or could they?

You couldn't give Diaz ANY rds? Cmon Sponge. My take was perhaps a little biased but I credit EFFECTIVE agression when the rds are close. Diaz fought at a torid pace and he was landing. Marq was landing effectively as well but he was constantly being backed up to the ropes. I think it was 5-3 Diaz at the time of the stoppage. Diaz was hurt bad in the 8th and his only hope at that point was for Marq to grow old in the last 4 rds. My wager on Diaz was based on believing the 36 yr old couldnt keep pace with the younger faster guy. Great fight. I can't stand that cheerleader Lampley. I think the guy has a hard on for some fighters. Max gets sht on all the time but i thnk the guy is an excellent analyst and the best interviewer, bar none.

I actually had the Rocky fight 7-5 John and not 8-4. One of my early rds was close so I wouldn't call it a robbery but I still think John won.

Romi watch the fight again. Marquez speed is very disceptive. A lot of those times on the ropes he was doing the majority of the hitting and almost blocking everything coming at him. When i first watched it i figured i was screwed cause u could just see the strength of Diaz over powering some but watching it again he missed a lot of shots and caught a hell of a lot more then he gave. Especially the time he hurt Marquez in round two. It is a little tough to see but if u have it taped u can see Marquez lite him up with 4 or five unanswered punches. I think Letterman gave Diaz the first three rounds and im wondering if Marquez in Lettermans eyes could win a round and they Max finally jumps in and sees what im seeing. Diaz to me body wise, just looked so much stronger which i feel made the fight look a little bias towards him. Ah whatever. Usually we are all on the same page and i was the first time i saw the fight. :toast:
