It's beers and a ballgame. Some of my favorite people and some of my favorite posters have opposing views and differing lifestyles than I do, so what. My best friend is a diehard conservative with very strong views, and I love the guy to death. He and I have gone to the voting booths together in every single election spanning the last twenty years to "cancel each other's vote", and every time we exit the booth, high five, tell each other that their vote didn't count now and then we laugh and go get lunch and a beer. It's my favorite part of every election. In the end, humanity has to somehow float to the top. Maybe I'm wrong, but I believe that. I'm not gay, but a childhood friend of mine is and he didn't tell anyone other than myself for decades out of fear of disapproval or judgement by others. I still can't fathom the anxiety and grief that he must have experienced during that time. I assure you that I will never be that guy, the intolerant, judgemental narcissist that feels like my views are the only ones allowed.
Don't know how else to put it man. It's a game and some beers. Hedge and I both like beer and baseball, and sometimes, that's enough for two grown ass men to enjoy a great day at the park watching our hometown teams battle it out. So yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I honestly believe we will have a good time
