Doc your a little wrong. Come to my town where 228 jobs are going to China. Pay including Benni's is about $18 a hour. What get to replace them so far. A giant Wall Mart at $6.50. You have a student loan you say. I bet your pissed at the break in interest you been getting. I'm sure you understand why.
Turf, don"t act like you have your head up your ass. You rather Bush pissed your money away over seas. I'm sure they will except all extra you wish to send them. I rather help my own right here at home.

hey if the jobs go over seas...$$ is coming back here from $$ saved....markets are now created over there for US products....

Any amount of ingenuity and enterprise and one can capitalize off this new environment....last I checked Americans were pretty dang good at being inventive and turning a profit....

maybe its good to have that 12$ telemarketing job taken away so that you can climb a little higher and achieve more...

i dont know about you, but i put my faith in the American people's ingenuity

not sure what you are talking about with my loans...yeah i get govt assistance...would i vote for that assistance? heck no if it meant lower taxed

freeze, do any of these ingenuity jobs have names, or are people to sit around thinking of ideas to earn a check?

You should move to North East, dinners lunches 5*restaurants commonplaces, also trips. My brother & his wife going to Bermuda next month. In my eyes its nothing but bribery and would be called as much in any other endeavors, but for big drug companies common business practice. Btw I have nothing but the utmost respect for medical residents, was hospitalized for 17 months and I know to well the hours they tow and the responsibility they are strapped with.

I also went to high school with guys that never went to college that it are millionaires. Also have seen countless lazy shitty students graduate good colleges and get great jobs they don't deserve in the least from alumni or parents friends, in my opinion this is exactly what gw is.

Father athlete at Yale, gw cheerleader at Yale.
Father pilot War hero, gw suspended air guard
father oil fortune, gw multiple failures with Dad s money
leader effective president, let's Cheney & others run show, complete failure as president.

Imposing higher taxes on the rich and closing corporate loopholes sounds great. But that is as far as it goes and it amazes me that the average person will buy into this fantasy. Ending the outsourcing of jobs also sounds great, but falls into the same bucket.

Who do you imagine run the majority of large businesses that employ the majority of people? Is it the so-called rich or is it guys like me and djv? Make it hard for the rich to make money and they will take their ball and go home. Then watch the jobs die.

What happens when the so-called corporate loopholes are tightly closed? Seems obvious doesn't it? When the corporations have profits cut, how in the hell are they going to employ more people? Corporate greed is often appalling but when their profits go down. jobs will go straight down the hole as well.

Outsourcing has proven to be beneficial to corporations. They save money, albeit at the expense of the low paying jobs that are sent out. However, the business make more money by doing this and reinvest same in the business which benefits us stateside.

Kerry said he wants to raise the taxes on the rich and close the corporate tax loopholes. Please, somebody, tell me how this will translate to more jobs and higher wages? It just doesn't work that way except in Wonderland. If someone cuts your salary 20% for example, are you going to spend more money? More money that goes into the economy and thus provides jobs? Or are you going to cut back on spending? It isn't rocket science. The rich, who own businesses, and the corporations that employ people will not do so at the same level if the money isn't coming in to them. That is simply common sense? Or do I have it all wrong?

It seems to me the rich made money before Bush lowered the tax rate. Despite two wars, which creates jobs in the defense industry, and a very low interest rate, kept low to help the economy, we are still losing jobs and real income for the middle class is lower than it was before Bush took over. It amazes me how people can think that somehow jobs and money will trickle down.

 my wife and i have worked very hard the last 8 yrs of marriage. we have taken 1 real vacation during this time. we have payed out a serious amount of $$ for college educations. my wife graduated from pharmacy school 2 mos ago.

the point : now that we earn a very good wage we are priveleged to pay 30% in taxes :)

yet we still have the college debt

while the wife's minority classmates do not owe for their degree in pharmacy..
this is an excellent example of the gov taking care of the middle class. i guess

just because the wife earns great $$ at this point does not change the debt incurred while she was in school.

DO NOT FEEL THAT PROFESSIONALS IN MED DO NOT DESERVE THEIR $$. OVERPAYED ? STOP GOING TO PRO SPORTS ! THE MED PROS AND THEIR FAMILIES PUT THEIR LIVES ON HOLD FOR SEVERAL YEARS TO ACHIEVE THE LEVEL OF DR.

If 3% GDP growth is bad what would you call the -1% growth he got handed to him from Clinton in his last quarter in office???

http://www.mmfn.net/articledetail.asp?id=5

Inflation has been at all time lows as well as interest rates

Oil I can't see price of oil and who is president has any correlation

455 BILLION DEFICIT and swelling gov
I'll agree on medicare issuein swelling gov but otherwise biggest reason for increase was bringing defence back up after it was cut to the bone --and I definately agree with his voting record if kerry is elected we will see cuts made as previous administration did--however again on his voting record kerry will definately find entitlement programs to compensate. Just depends on where you want your tax $ spent.

No jobs--how many months has it been that there has not been a job increase. I will agree I see no way to recover jobs lost on dot.com bust
