of the game
They tied it up! not took the lead!
ya falcons lost their lead but there

for a couple hundred, i'll argue till I'm blue in the face. I'm merely interpreting the prop in the most absolute literal sense of the way it is written.

Sorta like arguing a prop bet about "will there be a score in the final 2 minutes", and the score happens at exactly the 2:00 minute mark. Does it count or not?

The two-minute warning props States typically that if the score happens at the 2-minute Mark you win the bet.

There was no lead change. Only one team had the lead in the 4th.

Thanks for getting their confirmation and again thanks for the contest and oppurtunity.

Regarding their ruling and just discussing openly.....What I don't get is if you take the total for a game...or more specific the 2nd half.....we all know overtime is included...So overtime is, for wagering purposes, considered an extension of the game or the half depending what you wagered on....so in this instance, why wouldn't it also be considered an extension of the quarter...

Ex: A playoff game goes to halftime- I turn on PC and select "2nd Half wagers". It reads: Will the 2nd half total be more or less than 25?

If I wager and select the "over" and then the Game score is tied after the 2nd half is completed, they simply extend the wager period from only the "2nd half" to "the 2nd half & overtime."...... and lets say in that same example that the second half score was 12-12.....well I have a guaranteed winner even though there was only 24 points scored in the "2nd half" and I wagered there would be more than 25....and all of the "under bettors" should be happy because after the half concluded only 24 points were scored, but instead are miserable knowing the Overtime coin flip is about to ensue....

Again if they consider overtime an extension of the game and of the half, then they should do the same for quarters. It should be consistent all the way around.

But...I dont think in anyway they determined the ruling to try and get more $.....Just like above where the "over betters" got lucky because of overtime and were raking in chips, there is the "under bettors" who are ripping up their tickets....and in this case there may have been 10X the action on "no lead change in the 4th" considering many predicted a Patriots blowout and the fact that "no lead change" was the favorite at -200 odds....so it may have benefited the books to consider it a winning wager for gamblers....I like to think they planned on handling the situation the exact same regardless of personal bias

Next year I'm going to call and suggest they write it differently. It shall read "Will there be a lead change anytime after the 4th quarter starts?" I'm going to tell them my name is "Jack" from madjacksports.com ...I hear he has some authority in all parts of the country which should help getting this changed...

Then YYZ doesn't have to be bothered when he's taking a public shit all over the casino's bankroll....hell of a run on video poker...at this point I'm convinced if you stuck your pecker in the coin slot that we'd see 1 million dollars and a a Titulist Driver dispensed from the machine....helluva stretch....keep at it!

let's reverse the question:

you made a "lead not to chance in 4th q"-bet with your friend, would you pay ?

Just to play devil's advocate, I say the lead did "change".

It changed FROM Atlanta TO nobody.

Pay him, pay that man his money.

yup. I already played devil's advocate though. When you take the writing of the bet literally, it's true.
In case no one told you yet today penguinfan, you're a smart guy.
