books don't want players educated, but who can blame you.

if this entire thread can be summarized in ten words, this is it.

multiple outs is the key. BDB, i'm sure you could find value with some of the lines at bodog, at times, if you were a member there.

just like i do using CRIS during baseball season. CRIS lines suck for baseball but there are times when i find the best value there.

multiple outs is the key, plain and simple.

Ferdville, he "gets it", believe me.

finally we get some books to participate here and we chase them away?

BDB, i don't do bonuses either. i like total control of moving my money in and out without any "catches" but nothing wrong with a rec player taking bonuses and playing with one or two books. better than a local that doesn't give shit.

going back to watch my ravens kick some ass :D

good luck, folks!

of course you can find better lines at bodogs at times. you can find better lines all over for games if you look hard enough. im not a member of bodog and i have nothing against them personally. it just so happens that he is one of the few that can have a discussion unlike others that just post pictures. again, its not personal. i just wish all books would get into juice wars with each other to benefit the player. im sure their business model is fine. its not an unheard of book, and im sure they do well enough. although with every favorite coming in in football this year, its probably not been a banner year for them or any recreational book. multiple outs is the key for any sports gambler. nothing against bodog, because they were having a discussion with me. everything i said to them could be blanket wrapped and said to 99% of the books out there. i was just hoping that somehow these books were dumb and cared for the "savy" gambler, but again they don't need to.

Bodog: The standard 10% reup doesn't interest me when I've lost so many deposits in a row there. I can get 20-25% at three different books right now. I was interested in something more considering how much I've donated there...

OK chump, I hear ya. But Bodog has to look at the bottom line ya know.

Just be careful deciding on what books to join - some newer outfits can throw out big bonus to attract new customers - but too much bonus is really not healthy for any business in any industry in the long run.

now, there maybe "solid" outfits, too that give better bonuses - you just have to look.

thanks for your "donations" and hope you had FUN making them. really, if you enjoyed Bodog then you would stay with it - but nothing wrong your criteria of more bonus.

good luck chump.

BDG,

yeah, nothing personal, just business. However, tough spot that I replied or engaged in discussion and now Bodog is to take the beating for 99% of the books out there.

also, every time there were real all out juice wars, a lot of companies soon started folding one after another. there are still a ton of shops with juice discounts and I know you know them. those books want and look out for "savvy" gamblers like you already.

i don't know if i'm savy or sharp or whatever the term is, but i win long term. perhaps if you have a number i like i can neteller some funds in and donate if you catch me in a downswing.

also i do appreciate you at least responding. i can say that says alot. i never faulted your business model, im sure its profitable long term except maybe the nfl this year.

agree with juice wars for unstable books. there will be a lot of them come january. at least you were honest in your response saying too much of a bonus is a sign of a book in trouble. at least thats what i know is true and what i took it to say.

gl in the future although im sure your book doesn't need it. if you do go to dime lines for bases and i do deposit can i perhaps forgoe the bonus and get a meet up with the bo dog girls. has to be before ie2002 though, i hate sloppy seconds.

BDB, i would classify you as a "savy sharp"......or maybe a "sharp savy"....depending on the spread and juice....

edit:
actually i don't think and realized "savy' is a word up here in canada....

well maybe, a french word for water or something, who knows....

I thought savy was that stuff I rub on my ass all the time :mj03: Can you guys tell me what that has to do with this conversation?

Bodawg- Dont listen too much to BDB, hes an egomaniac psycho. He thinks he knows everything. I do appreciate him watching out for sharp guys like me though, IM A SHARP, after all I had 3 underdog bets last night alone! and an under! Dam I'm so sharp I could cut ya, but anyway thanks for responding and you did put yourself in a tough spot but you handled it well :mj14:

Bodog: Thank you for the shitty and condensending response. I'll make sure to avoid your book now since it was "fun" to donate.

I have been around these forums and offshore books for over 7 years now, I know to avoid new books and scam books. There are many books here at MJ's that I would NEVER play at.

And I wouldn't call Heritage, Wsex, Dsi, 777rock and others not 'solid' books - they actually pay out quicker than your great book.

Of course they don't deal out two different lines and they don't have the jacked up favs either which I did like to get an extra point or two at bodog.

Bottom line: I was looking for a special deal from bodog and didn't appreciate your response, so I won't reup there anyway.

BDB -

Great posts and responses in this thread. Thanks to Bodawg as well for participating. It sure teaches us something on multiple outs, doesn't it? I always like to have one book like Pinnacle or Olympic that is good for low juice on faves and one like Betcom or nine (just using examples for the books, have played with most of them on the sponsor list) that is good for low juice on dogs so I can get the best pointspread and juice value.
