Bluegrass!
DTB....

And one of the best things about those beer companies, they usually perform better than most in down markets. Think about it, if most of what you own is heading South, it's time to drown your sorrows in the spirits!

Selkirk,

Everything you said is 100% true, in my opinion. Nice post.

Kevin,

Almost EVERY stock is 'cheap' right now. UAL is certainly not any more worthy than thousands and thousands of other stocks. In fact, there are some potentially major problems impending, individually for United and the airline industry as a whole.

Kosar, Ual not going anywhere man. Look at its history. 31 bones is cheap, solid earnings, and their growing...its an excellent long term play. It'll split for ya too.

Gatorbait you keep tucking that money in that 401. here is why.
Someone keep track cause Im not going to.
Dow by early 2003 over 12900.
Nas by mid 2003 over 3100.
I know that is not as high as we saw once.
If you keep cost averaging in to your funds you will do fine. Of course I expect you to know your funds well and understand what they can do for you. You deside whats right for you. Growth 50% Balance 30% Index 20%.
Dow by 2005 over 14800.
Nas by 2005 over 4500.
Now if Bush is a complete flop. You may have to lower those last two by about 1000.

Today:

Dow 11,971.19
Nas 2,292.27

The fed or gov't won't say the word, but anyone who thinks we aren't in a recession right now should go back to their economics & financial 101 classes.
