I've been on and off lipitor for the past three years. When I'm on it my cholesterol is good I get off it cause the Doc want's me to exercise and eat better to lower it which I do and I it goes down for a few months but then back up again.

Do Omega 3 supplements help with high cholesterol? if so, can anyone recommend a brand. thanks

The Dr. also has me on Vytorin. He told me if I take these pills and eat properly I should see a 100 point drop in my LDL in a month.

I am on Vytorin. It really works. I saw a 100 point drop in 6 weeks. Since then it climbed back up about 15-20 points, but after being at 250, I am happy being at 165-170.

Now if I could just lose those extra 10-15 pounds around my waist

Vytorin really worked for me as well. In one month, eating properly and the Vytorin, I dropped from 275 total cholesterol to 104! My LDL was 203 and now it's 59!

Also have lost 18 lbs.

had my annual physical yesterday, last one was at the start of 2000, I guess I do em in dog years...

so I'm laying on the table, and doc is checking my feet. (he hasn't put the rubber glove on yet so I'm in relatively good spirits)

says he doesn't like the pulse rate in my feet so he wants me to have some blood work done to check my cholesterol. I'm like "what"

I swear to god I thought the next thing he was going to say was that he wanted to look in my ears to check my prostate. seriously tho, when he finally put the glove on (up to his shoulder no less) it felt like he was reaching for my tonsils. I think I need a new doctor.

now all I have to do is go have the blood work done, which I will. eventually...

congrats boiler, and way to go nole. (what's up nole)
