On the posts on Fox News site - since some are calling out only the HuffPo...typical:

Racist comments on FOX News Website: Where is O?Reilly?s crack team now?
By: John Amato on Thursday, March 20th, 2008 at 2:00 PM - PDT

Updated: The Factor has turned their attention away from attacking Daily Kos over and over again so that Bill O?Reilly could embark on a sick crusade against the Huffington Post over anonymous comments posted on Arianna?s blog. BillO had his team of producers harassing her at the Take Back America conference yesterday before she went on a panel. You know, coming after her, yelling, ?why do you allow these to appear on the HuffPo?? Well, with billions of dollars at NewsCorp?s disposal, what?s Ruppert Murdoch?s excuse for these kind of posts to find their home on FOX, Bill? From this post:

Wow! Jan L. nailed it right on the head! Reparations? I?m waiting for my thank you! You blacks would be naked and eating bugs if it weren?t for white people. Name ONE successful society started by blacks. Any sign of civilization in Africa was started by Europeans. Any city in America with predominately black leaders is a cesspool. Look at New Orleans, Philadelphia, D.C., Detroit?

I am sooo tired of hearing how the black man has been mistreated since he was shipped over here to help build America! All I hear is them groveling over being victims.

They are the ones making themselves the victims with their attitude that whites owe them something for bringing their ancestors to the best country that has ever existed. All my life I have only witnessed the blacks with their hands out to the government expecting it to give them everything they want and shouting racist if they don?t get it! No wonder most whites have the opinion that blacks are worthless, lazy sloths who know only how to make more babies and steal everything not nailed down. Barak Lenin Obama, the big eared Muslim, is only fostering this ?wo is me? attitude with his obvious prejudices. I, for one, like my white race over that of any other, so does that make me a racist? I don?t thing so. The black man will not break free from his self-imposed shackles until he picks himself up, dusts himself off and begins to provide for himself just like every other race has done who came to this country. Before the blacks can do this, however, they have to rid themselves of the likes of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Farakan, and the good reverend Wright.

Pretty insane comments. H/t to Mike who alerted me to this and as he pointed out from FOX?s rules:

please note that all comments are moderated and therefore may not appear immediately after submission.

So these were deemed acceptable? Most liberal bloggers with open comments try their best to weed out horrible anonymous comments, but we miss some. If we had millions of dollars at our fingertips to hire a huge staff to make sure outrageous stuff never appeared then they probably wouldn?t. Now that FOX News is sanctioning them, I guess the media will consider it a non-issue. What say you, BillO?

You can't control what idiots post on these kind of sites. On Sean Hannity's site, a post was left up over 24 hours calling for Obama to be assassinated if he won.

Never been to Hannity's website Smurpy--but if what you say is correct--they would be equally guity-- I would like to see the quote you mention-- if it was up that long-I'm sure it is in print somewhere--as the Huffington post were.

guess I will put up some of Huffington's posts to show diff--despite their offensiveness--

On Nancy Reagan--when she fell--
If you like the ones on Tony Snow and Lieberman I will oblige but doubt you do after seeing these--

Open letter to the one with the daddy complex, It is fitting that those who remember this vile woman and her equally vile husband for what they did to the middle class of this country. Sir if you want IDOLIZE THIS PIECE OF HUMAN WASTE PLEASE AVAIL YOURSELF TO A WAILING SEPTIC TANK where this floatasm of human excrement should be found wanting.

But dont lecture us on how we view this misbegotten whore and her well deserved trevails, my wish is that she had cracked that putrid melon that bobbles on her shoulder's, and spilled the excretement from the container that has bottled it up for so long

did a little research on your Hannity poster calling for Obama to be assassinated--and found just a bit diff tune

This is what I found from liberal website--is this same incident your speaking of--as your interpretation is quite diff--

The thing that wories me is the nuts that read these items and see them in a deffernt light of hate. And All these sites are quilty. All these type post can be dropped with in minutes if they wish. But one thing can't and that is talk radio. A guy like Rush gets something grazy out his mouth and bangs away. It's to late.

So, I guess my O'Reilly posts count as his site being equally guilty. Which is ironic, considering he is badgering Huffington with a camera crew for personal and political gain for his show. I wonder if he had engaged in any harrassing phone sex calls that morning, before taping the show?

The difference between the two, as I mentioned, is that O'Reilly's board is moderated and posts are submitted for his people to determine if they will be posted for the public - so were approved and deemed worthy of O'Reilly's name - while Huffington's is a different site setup, where anyone can post any comment without censure or approval - until they are pointed out or removed by her people.

Big difference, and O'Reilly is again proven to be a hypocritical opportunist.

Here is Huffington's response to the situation, which I deem more appropriate than O'Reilly's sensationalizing for personal gain:

Posted March 20, 2008 | 05:45 PM (EST)

As I arrived at the ballroom of the Omni Shorehem hotel in Washington yesterday to give a speech at the Take Back America conference, I was approached by one of Bill O'Reilly's video crews, looking to do an ambush interview about objectionable anonymous comments that appeared on our site (comments that we unequivocally repudiate and take down as soon as we become aware of them; more on this in a moment).

O'Reilly has been banging this tired drum -- calling me no different from Nazis and the KKK -- for weeks now and is giddily promoting yesterday's exchange on his website as "An Explosive Showdown. We confront the Huffington Post over Tony Snow comments." (It will apparently air tonight).

My first response to the Fox hit squad was that they needed a lesson on the rudiments of how the Internet works, especially when it comes to comments.

HuffPost gets around 500,000 comments a month. These comments are anonymous and in no way represent my opinions, or the opinions of HuffPost or our bloggers. We have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to abusive or hateful language or comments -- such comments are taken down as quickly as they come to the attention of our moderators.

And we are constantly working to develop new technologies -- and backing them up with more and more 24/7 moderators -- which will allow us to more effectively filter out objectionable comments. But no system is perfect and offensive comments occasionally slip through -- on our site and any place else on the Internet that encourages a free and open exchange of ideas. Including the Fox News site.

Indeed, Crooks and Liars' John Amato has gathered a collection of hateful comments that can still be found on foxnews.com. And Keith Olbermann has pointed out comments posted on Bill O'Reilly's own site that, among other things, threaten the life of Hillary Clinton.

Let me be as clear as possible. We find the kind of toxic comments O'Reilly is pointing out utterly repugnant and take them down. Period. But we refuse to let the vile actions of a miniscule number of anonymous, trouble-making trolls force us to shut down our comments section -- as many sites, including many conservatives sites, have done. We are committed to striking a balance between freedom of expression and freedom from a noxious atmosphere that ultimately discourages expression.

Finally, I find it laughable to be lectured on hate speech by Bill O'Reilly, who has done as much if not more than anyone else in the media to debase the public dialogue. He spews hate as readily as he breathes. It's his lifeblood.

In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if O'Reilly had one of his staffers put these offensive comments up on HuffPost, just so he could have something to rail against.

I think its hard to see any other scenario in which the Clinton political machine doesn't steal the nomination at the convention somehow...

The Clintons are hell-bent in moving back into the White House and they could care less if it means royally screwing over their party for the foreseeable future.

While it looks more and more likely to me that McCain will win in November, you can be sure that the House and Senate will be overwhelmingly Democratic--which is probably a good thing for the country overall....

I agree with everything you posted here.

Hillary has turned ugly. 6 months ago she had my vote. Now i see that she took money from healthcare interests and from Israel lobby. Clintons owe alot of favors and need to get to the Whitehouse to pay them back. If Hillary runs against McCain in Nov, i won't vote. We were always told that our vote counts.

Wasn't it Stalin who said, it doesn't matter who votes that counts, it matters who counts the votes. In this case, it doesn't matter who wins because the winner can be overwritten. (Obama vs. Clinton)

If Hillary runs against McCain and McCain kills her and wins the election, Hillary can still become President by the way of the Ele college. The Ele college can vote anyway they want and can vote to give it to Hillary. Crazy Huh?

You can agree to disagree with my opinions, Wayne, I just don't see how you can disagree with the simple facts presented that highlight the differences and the hypocrisy involved in this scenario. You brought this up with the ridicule of the Huffington site, I showed facts and examples showing the differences in responsibility.

No doubt that blogs and site owners can be held to a certain responsibility level when posting their own words and essays - but this is quite different.

The similarity I see is you and O'Reilly both calling out Huffington's site, and you are continually calling for fairness in reporting, and the one-sided liberal media. Believe hypocrisy is the only true scenario here.

Chad, I don't believe O'Rilley show is a news show. I think the way he keeps people interested is by picking a subject and having them fight over it. And of course addng as much fuel as he can. What I don't like his half truths. Like this info about these sites. And another one he goes back to that he had wrong. Obama standing at attention listening to our athem. What O'Rilley say. He said Obama should put his hand over his heart when doing the pledge. Of course a little streching of truth. Just what his show is about. But give him credit even tho his numbers are down he still attracks a great number of people that have not caught on.

any comment on O refusing to wear lapel pin but giving his speech with six flags behind him??

Or comparing his mother comments on stereotyping black people (in comparison to preacher rants) then doing his own stereotype the next day with "its a white thing"
--a bit of hyprocy--would you say?

--coupe de grace in my view--He's scared shitless to go on fox-the largest audience in cable news--Can't take the heat but thinks he's pres material--:)

Flash back--Kerry acknowledging major contributing factor for his loss--was avoiding going on fox.

lol- how do you interpret that, Wayne? Not wearing a pin, or whatever. What do you think that says about him?

As far as Fox, unless I was seeing things, i'm pretty sure he was on Fox just last week during his Wright damage control tour.

Kerry lost because of homophobes in southern Ohio. Nothing more and nothing less.

Even though he was correct, he definitely made a mistake when he verbalized that his grandmothers fear of black people was 'typical' of white people.

I was just pointing out O'Rilley's web site no better then anyone else at controlling it. And on his show he uses oldest tactic of bateing and half truths. I would not go so far to call his show news. Entertainment yes, want news watch Shep.
And I said hes has good numbers. But I remember someone maybe you bragging about his 3.5 to 3.7 milion viewers in the past. He's dropping while some others are going up.

Cafferty: Why would Clinton not tell the truth about her 1996 Bosnia trip?
Posted: 02:39 PM ET

art.bosnia.ap.jpg

First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton kisses Emina Bicakcic, aged eight, from Sarajevo who dedicated a poem to her shortly after her arrival at the Tuzla Air Base, Monday March 25, 1996.
FROM CNN's Jack Cafferty:

On two different occasions, Senator Hillary Clinton has described a trip she took as first lady to Bosnia in March of 1996.

To hear her tell it, she was lucky to escape with her life, landing in a hail of sniper fire. She said they were forced to cut short the greeting ceremony at the airport and, "run with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."

But apparently there was time to stop and visit at the airport with an 8-year-old girl who greeted Mrs. Clinton on the tarmac when she landed and read her a poem.

The military commander on hand to greet Clinton at the time, Major General William Nash, told the Washington Post he was unaware of any sniper threat to Clinton during her 8-hour stay.

Also traveling with the first lady was her daughter Chelsea, the singer Sheryl Crow and the comedian Sinbad, who said the scariest part of the trip was deciding where to eat.
...........................................................

Hillary never cease to lie for her own good.

Chelsea - Keep your head down from the sniper fire !

Geez Louise does it never end with her ?

Clinton 'Misspoke' About '96 Bosnia Trip
By ANN SANNER

Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON ? Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign said she "misspoke" last week when saying she had landed under sniper fire during a trip to Bosnia as first lady in March 1996. She later characterized the episode as a "misstatement" and a "minor blip."

The Obama campaign suggested the statement was a deliberate exaggeration by Clinton, who often cites the goodwill trip with her daughter and several celebrities as an example of her foreign policy experience.

During a speech last Monday on Iraq, she said of the Bosnia trip: "I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."

According to an Associated Press story at the time, Clinton was placed under no extraordinary risks on the trip. And one of her companions, comedian Sinbad, told The Washington Post he has no recollection either of the threat or reality of gunfire.

When asked Monday about the New York senator's remarks about the trip, Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson pointed to Clinton's written account of it in her book, "Living History," in which she described a shortened welcoming ceremony at Tuzla Air Base, Bosnia-Herzegovina.

"Due to reports of snipers in the hills around the airstrip, we were forced to cut short an event on the tarmac with local children, though we did have time to meet them and their teachers and to learn how hard they had worked during the war to continue classes in any safe spot they could find," Clinton wrote.:SIB

"That is what she wrote in her book," Wolfson said. "That is what she has said many, many times and on one occasion she misspoke.":nono:

Asked about the issue during a meeting with the Philadelphia Daily News' editorial board on Monday, Clinton said she "misspoke."

"I went to 80 countries, you know. I gave contemporaneous accounts, I wrote about a lot of this in my book. You know, I think that, a minor blip, you know, if I said something that, you know, I say a lot of things ? millions of words a day ? so if I misspoke, that was just a misstatement," she said.

A spokesman for rival Barack Obama's campaign questioned whether Clinton misspoke, saying her comments came in what appeared to be prepared remarks for the Iraq speech. His campaign's statement included a link to the speech on Clinton's campaign Web site with her account of running to the cars. Clinton's campaign said what is on the Web site is not the prepared text, but a transcript of her remarks, including comments before the speech in which she talked about the trip to Bosnia.

Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor said in a written statement that Clinton's Bosnia story "joins a growing list of instances in which Senator Clinton has exaggerated her role in foreign and domestic policymaking."

The Obama campaign statement also links to a CBS News video of the Bosnia trip posted on YouTube, which shows Clinton and her daughter, Chelsea, walking across the tarmac from a large cargo plane, smiling and waving, and stopping to shake hands with Bosnia's acting president and greet an 8-year-old girl.:scared :SIB :scared

"This is something that the Obama campaign wants to push 'cause they have nothing positive to say about their candidate," Wolfson said Monday.

Clinton's written account contradicts her comments last Monday about the welcoming ceremony.

Just after the speech, Clinton reaffirmed the account of running from the plane to the cars when she was asked about it during a news conference. She said was moved into the cockpit of the C-17 cargo plane as they were flying into Tuzla Air Base.

"Everyone else was told to sit on their bulletproof vests," Clinton said. "And we came in, in an evasive maneuver. ... There was no greeting ceremony, and we basically were told to run to our cars. Now, that is what happened."

Former Army Secretary Togo West, who accompanied Clinton to Bosnia, said he was not surprised "that there could be confusion" when someone who has taken a number of trips tries to recall details of a particular trip 12 years earlier.

"The important thing is that she was there. Our soldiers saw she was there and heard her and knew that our country cared about them and what they were doing," West told the AP during a telephone interview.
............................................................

Well then I guess Rev Wright mispoke a few times and Hillary can just forget about it also.

She mis-spoke. Uh that sounds like outright lies
and fabrications.

foreign policy experience :142smilie :142smilie
