For the Record:
I disagree w/many on this board- does not mean that we are not 'friends', that I dislike them or wish them ill will.I happen to look forward to this site and just wanted to express something that maybe the know=it-alls haven't figured out yet.
I think ppl like Kosar, Eddie, Ocelot, etc., should have their say. Take bjfinste, for instance, I disagree w/many of his posts particularly regarding the military. He is originally from the Dakotas, dislikes Red-Necks, Hunters and is pretty far left of me. Yet I value& respect his opinions as he is usually composed and thinks out his replies. I was pissed off about statements made about the WTC disaster and the USA. bj maintained his demeanor and would respond, if at all, appropriately. There is a lesson to be learned here. This is the Internet and anyone can register and post whatever they want, right or wrong. Hence we get all kinds- as you can see. Sometimes one has to look@ the big picture, cause it easy to forget this. A recent example follows. I think most have heard about this...
Lyrics:
"There was a time, when the sun was shining bright So I went down to the beach to catch me a tan.
Then the next thing I knew, a wave 20 feet high
Came and washed your whole country away.
And all at once, you can hear the screaming chinks.
And no one was saved from the wave.
There were Africans drowning, little Chinamen swept away.
You can hear God laughing, 'Swim you bitches swim.'
[Chorus]
"So now you're screwed. It's the tsunami,
You better run and kiss your ass away. Go find your mommy.
I just saw her float by, a tree went through her head.
And now your children will be sold. Child slavery."
The song aired twice on the "Miss Jones in the Morning" show on January 18, 2005. The radio hosts received complaints soon after the first airing of song. They responded by playing the song again, an anonymous source told Asian Media Watch.
This comes on the heels of another racially inflammatory broadcast by the self-proclaimed "haters" of the "Star and Buc Wild" morning show on Power 99 WUSL-FM Philadelphia. Radio host Star (Troi Terrain) called a customer service call center in India, threatened to "choke" the operator, and called her a "filthy rat-eater" and "bitch."
Miss Jones (Tarsha Nicole Jones) and Star (Troi Terrain) are former co-hosts on the same radio program.
As with Star (Troi Terraine), this is not the first incident in which "Miss Jones" has made racially inflammatory comments. In response to the sale of a board game called Ghettopoly which contains racially derogatory themes about Blacks, Jones enflamed an already racially charged situation by asking listeners make their own board game called "Chinkopoly" and to call-in with their own derogatory stereotypes of Asians as retaliation towards Ghettopoly's creator who is an Asian immigrant. Miss Jones advocated retaliation towards the entire Asian American community for the act of one individual despite the fact that Asian American organizations denounced the game and its creator.

I think these ppl are just making $ off the trajedy of others. I would think the pictures and stories would be enough to stop even the most jaded from trying to profit but, this is not real life.
I feel sorrow for these ppl instead of anger. And believe it or not- ppl like bj make me realize this. Don't know if you thought about this bj, but keep on being yourself. I, for one, am a better person because of it.
