Round 1 plays (1pt):
Mathew Goggin to beat Brett Rumford -118 @ Five Dimes
Rumford has really struggled with his game since his season-opening top-10 finish in the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic - he has shot every round over-par in his four events since then. So, it is no surprise that Goggin has shot a lower 1st round every time this year
Boo Weekley to beat Angel Cabrera -106 @ Pinnacle
With finishes of 8th, 19th, 9th and 9th in his last four events, Weekley is in better form than the U.S. Open champion and in terms of their course history, Weekley lost in a playoff last year, Cabrera missed the cut
Steve Marino to beat Retief Goosen -145 @ Five Dimes
It's a sign of the decline in Goosen's game that he is now paired with Marino, but this still shouldn't be a competitive matchup. Since his blurred visions problems earlier in the year, Goosen has played two events, missing the cut in one and losing in the first round of the World Matchplay in the other. A top-20 finisher last year, Marino comes into the event on the back of a runners-up finish last week
Charles Warren to beat John Mallinger -110 @ Five Dimes
Mallinger has failed to beat Warren in any first round this year and withdrew from his last event citing illness, though he has already cited back problems this year as well. Warren may not be particularly consistent, but he can boast a far better record in Florida, including a 7-shot 1st round victory over his opponent in this event last year
