What ya'll got for this week?
I remember seeing the leaderboard here 2 years ago and thinking damn this course is similar to Harbour Towns board (i.e. Coceres, Els, Weekly etc). I am sure it's similar in length (shorter course), not sure about the designer but this is definitely something to look at when making picks this week. I'm a little burnt out from last week.. 5 day tournies will do that, but I am interested in how Rory does in his first stroke play event on US Soil, and how will Luke Donald's wrist be? Just wanted to get a little discussion going.. :0corn

Wow Rory is 16/1 what a joke :mj07:

Looks like Tindall is on the same trend :sadwave:

im with you regarding rory, derrick ... to me his odds are way too low it seems like panic in the european market ... played allenby -120 vs mcilroy and garcia -125 vs mcilroy both at cris ... if the mac does well then more panic will ensue next week and i guess ill get tiger against him soon

Late on Tuesday afternoon, Luke Donald withdrew from the Honda Classic.
Donald had to withdraw from last week's WGC-Accenture Match Play and after visiting his doctor he was hoping to be able to play this week. Fantasy managers will have to take a wait-and-see approach if he is well enough for Doral.

Going along with My Heritage and Honda philosophy.. a guy like Letzig finished 7th here last year and also 7th at Harbour town.. no coincidence in my opinion. Gonna analyze the last few years of both courses to look for common trends :0corn

See Boo Weekly who won at MCI and lost here in a playoff, or Els who won at MCI and won here..

Just one more heads up -- they havent always played this course for the Honda, I think it's only been the past 2 years.

Judging by the line on this one I think I was a little late to the party on this one. Yet another course that doesnt suit JB Holme's game.

Boo Weekly -150 over JB Holmes (72)

I like the Allenby play, but I think you will find out you have a better chance of getting laid by Jennifer Anniston than this guy winning. 14 to 1 is a ridiculous number for a guy who hasn't won since 2001. He is battling serious demons when he gets near a lead, I would like the play better if it was a top 5 or top 10 wager, but either way BOL

Also 14 to 1 is low, I see 20 - 22 to 1 at almost every book.

Building my post count :mj07:
Mark Turnesa -105 over Steve Lowery (72)
Only going 1/2 unit on this one. Lots of reasons I like this play, Turnesa has done crazy well on Nicklaus courses. He lives in Florida, he broke out of his slump at the NTO with a decent showing. Still not sure about the state of his game, so only 1/2 unit
orward to seeing other angles on this event.

Surprised you hawks havent picked up on this joint..

Petterson -115 over Cabrera (72)

Petterson has a history of playing well on Nicklaus courses. He's finished in the top 25 both times here, while Angel has missed the cut badly

Bill Haas name keeps on coming up..

Round 1 plays (1pt):

Briny Baird to beat John Rollins -114 @ Pinnacle [also available @ WSEX]
Backing Baird in the 1st round again? What a surprise! These two have played in 21 common events over the past 12 months and Rollins has shot the lower 1st round score just three times. I can't see him doing so this week when making his course debut.

J.J. Henry to beat J.B. Holmes +105 @ SkyBet [tie loses]
Carl Pettersson to beat J.B. Holmes -110 @ Carib
Matt Kuchar to beat J.B. Holmes -110 @ William Hill
In contrast to Baird, it has been six months since Holmes broke 70 in the first round. Making his debut in this event and on a par-70 course, I can only see him struggling this week. Henry has finished in the top-30 in each of the two years that this course has staged this event and has been beaten by Holmes just four times in the 1st round over the past year; Pettersson is another with top-30 finishes in the last two years here and has a good record at other Nicklaus-designed courses; while Kuchar is another with two decent finishes on this course and hasn't been beaten by Holmes in the 1st round for seven months.

Charlie Wi to beat Scott Piercy -110 @ Five Dimes
Piercy certainly caught the eye on the West Coast Swing, but it is a very different type of course in Florida where he has just one previous Tour appearance: a missed cut in a Nationwide Tour event last year. Wi has made the cut on this course both times and even held the lead after the 1st and 2nd rounds in 2007; he generally has a pretty good record in Florida.

Rose to win 41.00 sia.

Sooner or later this golfing machine is going to win in the states. Played this deal last year and did a little better than decent. I like everything about Rose, height, weight, strength, age, all of it. Some think he's a bit of a bottler, I don't.

72 holes----- Rose over Calcaveccia -110
Thanks for the free money.

R1 Rose over Jimenez and day +130
R1 Love over Cink and DiMarco +150

It looks like I'm a bit Rosed up. Live or die with one guy. GLTA

Added the Love Play.
