Man what was Hopkins thinking. I believe that he felt the power of Taylor early. He figured he would wait Taylor out and counter punch like he had always done and won.

Taylor fought a brilliant fight against one of the best fighters in the world.

Came on strong in early rounds then weathered the storm.

Result - new champion.

I would love to know the details of the rematch clause. If I was Taylor I would not fight him until next year when Hopkins ass is 41.
I would also advise Taylor to fight several fights before that fight.

It will be differant in the rematch. Taylor will be favored. Hopkins will be the dog maybe +250.

It was a great fight to watch even without the KO. Next fight things will be differant.

Man, you must be smoking something if you believe hopkins would be +250 in the rematch....

The fight was very close, and could have gone either way...Just look at the scorecards...One of the judges that scored it (actually both judges for taylor scored it the same) at 115-113 scored the 12th round 10-9 in favor of Taylor some how...If he scores it to Hopkins in which everyone else I heard did, then we have a draw.

Next fight Taylor will not be intimidated at all and will know what Hopkins can bring. Hopkins will be older yet again and probably won't have any fights at all before a rematch.

Hopkins string of defenses is gone, he really has nothing more to fight for.

Got to think Taylor will be a big fav in a rematch
fight. Vegas is not stupid.

If only I knew there would be a corrupt judge that would cost Hopkins the fight? He won round 12 BIG, there's no excuse to score that round for Taylor. Hopkins won rounds 4,5 and 9-12. Hopkins wasn't nearly active enough but he did enough to earn at least a draw. Whatever though, it don't matter what I think you won and I lost. Congrats.

Easy money

Scott please i just read this thread and to think Taylor should of won that fight is foolish. You have a champion for all those years defending his belt 18 straight time and you take away all that with that showing Taylor gave? No way Hopkins should have lost that fight with everything he had at stake. Not even close to being hurt in any round. You can't take all his titles away with that kind of fight. Easy money? You are kidding me right? You benefitted from a bad decision. this should have been at least a draw and that is if neither one was a champion. Hopkins got royally screwed in that fight. You have to take it from a champion and what Taylor did that night was basically nothing.

I had Vernon Forrest over Ike Quartey and felt like giving the money back because i knew every Quartey bettor got screwed. Usually i am on the bad side of a bad decision so i decided to keep the money.
