i believe hopkins will show that he is the bigger man with the better straight power hand and will make this a no jabbing fight.
his legs looked spectacular against tarver who was very lucky to hear the final bell.
In this fight Hopinks can even be a little more offensive because winky is the weakest puncher he has faced since god knows.
winky looked good against taylor when taylor was at the ropes, he will not find mr. hopkins there.

Hopkins by domination

take a look at handicap - 8 at plus 260. or even -17.at plus 550.

btw i pretty much pulled my braihwaite play. i like the under 7 and a half in this fight alot more.
somebody is going down and i believe it will be braithwaite and early

You all have to remember that Hopkins weighed in at 156 for the DLH fight at 40 years old, so he's not that much bigger than Winky. The height advantage is substancial though

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Winky will win this fight, just commenting on the size issue. The other thing that worries me about Hopkins, besides being 42 and having an extremely low workrate, is that Tarver lost a ton of weight for that fight and it turns out that he's not that good to begin with, he also has a very low work rate and poor defense. In retrospect its not surprising that Hopkins out quicked and outclassed the slow limited Tarver.

I'm riding the fence on this one, like I said before, the only given here is that Wink won't stop Hop. I'll probably hedge my Wink by decision +140 play with Hop +125 or parlay Hop with something down the road. The draw is a must play here

Punchy, did you see the HBO special with Winky banging out the Crispy Creams? I mean, I used to live right off Eastern Ave., just up the street from the Crispy Cream factory. Basically fried grease. I don't indulge anymore. How can he eat that shit? I can't bet this fight based on what I think I know right now.

Hi guys, hope you are all doing well...I missed the HBO special, but I didn't miss Winky a few weeks ago in Vegas bangin it out at a strip club. I don't believe he was drinking booze but not sure. He was definitely add a lot more muscle to his frame from when I previously saw him over a year ago.

As for my fight opinion, I do not see Winky winning by KO or even by a dominating decision...Either Winky steals the fight via decision with a little help from the judges, or it is BHop's night.

every swinging dick...every name i`ve seen make a prediction.....picks winky....

teddy atlas.....hagler...fight writer.pedro fernandez......even some broad on a financial show this morning picked winky by split decision....

headlines?...."GAMBLERS “NEVER” BET AGAINST WINKY WRIGHT!".....sheesh...

the thing that causes me to look at bhop is the fact that winky is a solid 10 pounds over his heaviest previous weigh-in..this is new territory....he`s fighting "12 rounds" at 170(and this WILL go 12)...so,i wonder if keeping this "fast pace" will be a little tougher with the extra weight.....

bhop doesn`t fight at a scintillating pace,so this may help winky...

is winky`s jab gonna be an issue?....won`t both guy`s lead hand offset the other(picture in your mind winky and hopkins standing facing one another)?...

winky`s jab is his bread and butter...seems to me that both guy`s jabs will be relegated to basically a pawing, range finding type weapon.....i can just see hopkins keeping his left hand up to catch winky`s jab.....

and winky`s shorter...

i do think winky throws the straighter punches...and that`s very important when fighting a taller guy...and winky`s lefty style is very basic..not much footwork.....but it`s a very hard style to attack.......

i can`t see this as anything other than a tactical, boring fight that will probably leave winky and bhop backers bitching whichever way it swings....

i`m keeping my fiddy bones in my pocket....

Box U still around? i have to respectfully disagree here. I think the higher the weight the better it is for Hopkins. I think higher weight is a big advantage for BHOP. Box i have a huge delema here. Watch my favorite fighter or go to the nieghbors party which i ducked three years in a row and he isn't taken no for an answer this year. I told him i want to see this fight and then this stunning broad pulled up in a Jag, parked in front of my house and strolled into the party. Box i want to see this really bad but i cant get this broad off of my mind. I look at it this way. Go over now, smooth her, and hope she is a boxing fan and get her over here, or just watch the fight. Then go over and hope nobody made a move or if they did, smooth her at the keg. Box you around? I need some help. I think i have a chance since it is dark out lol.

i understand pardner......it`s really not a bettors fight....

the over`s gold....but,who wants to lay those odds?....

slow, unexciting fight...very close and hard to judge...disputed decision....

i hope the draw prop hits and the books get hammered...

heres hoping that the greek/ukranian kid does his job so that matgwa over/katsidis under parlay cashes.......

g.l. with the b` ball....one suggestion...i think you can bet the orioles every time bedard pitches from here on out and turn a profit....he`s a real talent...

Best i can do here Weasel. Bo dog will only let me bet 100. Im going with a crap shoot here with Bernards late starts but i will take my chances with Letterman before the Vegas judges. Weseal if i hear Roth, Ford, or those other two crooked pricks i don't have to worry here.

Single
Boxing - Props (Prop)Moneyline
Points leader on Harold Lederman's scorecard after 3 Rounds
Bernard Hopkins vs Ronald Wright
KO before Round 4 is a winner. Harold Lederman's scorecard is offical for grading result. No Parlays. Max $100
(116) Bernard Hopkins leads on Lederman's scorecard after 3 Rounds+110 Sat@10:45p

Risk $100.00 to win $110.00

I disagree. I think this is a lock if we had judges we can trust. I like Winky but i love BHop. Just so many skills. Its not last week when we were all high fiving from fights from other cities. Vegas this week. The other fights i just didn't do any homework so i have to lay off. good luck on your bets.

Winky isnt doing shit to be winning all these allegeded rounds. How he won round three is truly amazing. I think Hopkins lost this round because of the butt but that isnt a reason to lose it
