Not to sound like I'm advocating for the big prop play I made on CP3, but this would be a good time for D'Antoni to get him back in this game and get things under control.

Just not Chris Paul's night for scoring. He did cover his assists total of 7.5, which I considered playing as a hedge, but unfortunately did not pull the trigger because of the heavy vig.

Would be a real kick in the teeth for anyone that had the scoring prop for Harden over 31 points tonight. Even though he finished well short with 25 points, you would have been feeling pretty good after he scored 17 points in the 1st quarter alone. I think I mentioned in another thread tonight discussing Anthony Davis about just how hard it is to score 30 points in an NBA game, no matter how easy these guys make it look. Not only do you have to have an "ON" night, but game conditions have to fall in your favor too. I obviously thought the Rockets would win going away tonight, but I failed to incorporate that in my handicap of Chris Paul who played a below average 29 minutes. OR perhaps I failed to predict that he wouldn't attempt a FG in the 1st quarter or that he would make his first FG until the 3rd Qtr...Grrrr. But even Anthony Davis failed to reach 30 tonight despite optimal game flow. After coming in on a hot streak averaging 39ppg during a 7-game win streak, the game conditions seemed perfect for him to have another big scoring night with a close, high-scoring win for the Pels. If you had told me that's how it would play out without looking at the box score, there's no way I would have bet against him to score 30+. Now, it was pretty clear that he did struggle to score and so did the rest of the Pelicans during the 1st quarter when Aldridge was playing and I certainly couldn't have predicted Aldridge to get injured, so it's tough. I have a feeling the game wouldn't have been so open and as high scoring had he staying in there too. Just gotta hope the chips fall in my favor the next time an unpredictable injury happens.
