Let's see........Auburn, Alabama, LSU , Ark, and Miss st.
Five teams in the west which is loaded in talent. Name 5 teams that are better in any other conference?

I don't think anyone has argued that the SEC isn't a stacked conference.....it is the argument that nobody else can compete. You know, the "OSU couldn't win 4 games in the SEC" kind of stuff?

I graduated high school in michigan and am also a michigan fan:facepalm:
lived in the south for 32 years and I would never say anything that ignorant about OSU, Iowa ect.. that they would only win 5 games in the sec.
My daughters went to Auburn and LSU. College football is and always will be king here in Alabama as there are no pro programs.
Is embarrasing for me to see what has happened with a michigan program that used to be in the top ten year after year.
The talent has definately shifted southward. FWIW

I am originally from Michigan, as well. I think the Big Ten gets a little too much credit in the National Rankings, but the SEC fans (like SEC guru) take it to a ridiculous level. It is one thing to say Wisky is overrated at #5, it is another to say they wouldn't win 4 games in the SEC. The SEC is the strongest overall conference and has been for awhile, but that is where it ends. The fact that the SEC is the strongest conference seems to give the SEC fan base reason to think nobody can play with anyone in their conference and other teams outside the SEC are second class. It's a joke.

I stated in a thread a week or two ago that I thought that Tressel is the best coach in the Ncaa due to his tenure and success of the program.
living in Alabama as an Auburn fan.... we get the barn college, 2nd rate to Bama all the time. So, I know what you mean and god forbid if I mention that I grew up in Michigan.......
I feel that Auburn "should" beat Oregon. I do however respect the fact that we could lose that game even though the pac 10 has not been stellar this year as well. My son and I may have a long flight back from Arizona if Auburn does not bring there A game.

I grew up in a small farm town, Hartford. Is between Kalamazoo and St Joe. I went back for my aunt's funeral a couple years ago. I was shocked at the lack of growth. The old homes, everything looked the same in town. Not much progress.

"SEC Pussies'. I like that...

Cmon dude. Yeah, see how Capitol One or Tostitos feels about moving their cash cow bowl games to a frozen f*cking sh*thole field. Idiotic. Bring your punks down here to play a few games in early september, my weather guy..

Even as an Auburn grad/fan I agree that the whole "you wouldn't win x games in the SEC" argument is bogus. I think it stems from years of having to hear about the great big 10 and seeing them preseason top 5 every year, regardless of their talent. And I know they aren't big 10, but having to see Notre Dame every GD weekend on TV , no matter how shitty they or their opponent are, well that put a few chips on a few shoulders too.

Calling any other conference "pussies" because of their geographic location is just moronic. Unless you're talking about the PAC10 of course...:wall:
