And there's the 4th reference - now I can sleep with them.

I don't remember telling him he should buy precious metals. And the reason I don't remember it is because I didn't.

I'm sad about all this business you won't be sending my way - especially since I'm a corporate controller and my work has nothing to do with taxes.
Corp controller........Got it ACE, Go tell your CEO that you take exception to Trumps corporate relief and see how that works out for you?

No mention of precious metals? Being real?

You just quoted it - it's right there. Yes I mentioned them - did not ever say he should go out and buy them. I mentioned it in the context of saying that simply pulling your money out wasn't going to protect against anything. Buying precious metals as a hedge against inflation is a strategy used by some - I am neither endorsing or condemning that strategy. Just acknowledging its existence. If that didn't come through in my original post - then I apologize for not being more clear.

OK Johnny, I have been on edge and I think much differently than most about financial investing. I am pro business and also corporate business. gold, silver, special metals all while safe is not a smart investment going forward. You are prob a nice guy and I was prob being an ass clown in my responses. My apologies are in order. :0008

I work for a private corporation and the CEO is our founder. He is also a huge Democratic donor and has had Biden as a guest on his private jet. So guessing it wouldn't be an issue.

He has also pledged to not lay off a single worker and pay everyone their full salaries through the duration of this, and let our bank know that he stands ready to make whatever capital contributions are necessary along the way. It's nice to work for someone who really cares about his employees and has deep pockets. I'm very fortunate.

For the record - I am not against corporate relief. But acknowledging that corporations need help doesn't mean that I'm in favor of a blank check either.

It's all good - I enjoy the spirited debate and as I acknowledged I could have been more clear on some of my points.

We clearly have some different philosophies and that's ok. I very much hope you're right that this whole thing is a lot more panic than substance and will be over soon. You can give me (and others here) a big "I told ya so" then and I will gladly take it.

I was hired by Jim Sinegal the Owner and Ex CEO of Costco, he is also a Democrat donor..... The greatest Retail company in the world. I made more money as a GM than most doctors and I had Cashiers that made 55K a year as an hourly. Best Corp company ever.....I started when stock was at 22.00 a share, now only 280.00 reduced from 320.00
