I'm thinking it's the analytics used by about all the managers these days. There are many situations where it just doesn't make any sense.

Yes, it's so easy to outsmart themselves, just be simple.

Ask the catcher.
If movement and velocity seem to indicate the pitcher is tiring, they’ll know.
But pulling a pitcher with 100 pitches, 7-8 Ks and a few hits is just plain stupid management.
Relievers have become so much less reliable.
Maybe the answer is more first five bets.
