How many people are finding pro football almost unwatchable?

Now that baseball is over for my Dodgers I am looking foward to the NBA. My Redskins are doing ok but seeing the Raiders and Cowgirls doing well is highly annoying. Not too mention all the people here in my area are rooting for the Lambs just because they are back. Please....

I find the product roughly the same, but i watch less due to family and business occupying more of my time in my early 40s

Thursday games have to go, poor quality games no matter who is playing due to no prep time. My biggest complaint is the officials and the inconsistant calls. Unsportsmanlike conduct calls after a player celebrates is the big one for me. These refs are watching the player that scores like hawks. Crabtree itched his f ing shoulder and got called for unsportsmanlike, Vernon Davis shot a free throw and got called and I have seen many more this year. I think it was Jerry Glanville that said " this is the nfl which stands for not for long when you make those horse shit calls" Let the players celebrate, is it really a 15 yd penalty? The same penalty a player gets for helmet to helmet hits? Give me a break!

Well I will get this thread to moving, when the nfl (and tv channels ) did nothing but publize the sitting of the National anthem they all should have been boycotted, but I like many put money on the game so I have to watch the outcome

. I stand during the anthem, but Imo it is more "unamerican" to force players to stand than it is for the players to kneel. Players kneeling couldn't affect my enjoyment of the game any less

I am not sure what the big deal about a guy kneeling during the National Anthem was. By that I mean a back up quarterback took a knee. So what, who cares? But because we no longer haves real news people in the country something as stupid as that becomes a major story.

I would like to shoot whoever came up with those Thursday Night uniforms. That pisses me off more than anything about the game.

.

Exactly. I wish people gave a shit about the things that really matter. Racial inequality (ironic, I know, because this was meant to raise awareness- but at this point it's diluted to nothing), poverty, a shitty healthcare system that is failing us, mental illness, the heroin epidemic, etc etc. But those things don't drive clicks to website and so the media drives the narrative in another direction.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the commercials. To me TV at this point is unwatchable, nearly 30% commercials, in the NFL it's nearly 40%. Six commercials, kicked off, five more commercials. If it's not on HBO or Showtime, i.e. walking dead or Mr. robot, I will only watch on the fire TV (kodi). One thing I'd be perfectly good with is never seeing another commercial.

This

I hate when they run a play and come back after commercial and its 2nd down. Its happened many times this year, its annoying as all hell. Only things I watch live are sports because of annoying commercials. I record everything and watch them on DVR along with netflix and HBOGO

I still like the NFL, even the bad games. Commercials are merely a consequence of free enterprise, which I assume everyone wants to keep.:0008 Surprised hedgehog thinks otherwise.

Where it is real F ing COLD
When I was a kid, you had football on Saturday and Sunday. No other days. I think the reason people are getting fed up, is because you can watch sports 24/7 now.

NFL Sunday morning.....Sunday afternoon, Sunday night, Monday night, Thursday night.

NCAA Saturday from noon til 1am, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings.

Bowl games: You had FOUR games on New Year's day. Now, all but 6 teams make a bowl game, and they start in mid November, and go until mid January. They are their own fucking season!
