European liberals have been against us since I was a little kid. Im a Spanish citizen. One of my cousins even calls me cowboy. I’ve never owned a gun, but he figures since I’m American I’ve got four of them lol
I spent about 12 weeks in Europe last year, and outside of two years around Covid, I’ve never spent less than four weeks in Europe in any year of my life.
I’m aware how European left feels about us
But I’ll tell you this, I didn’t speak with anyone last fall who wanted that war continue.
And DJT is looking to make that happen
Nobody wants to keep the war going BUT they don’t want to let the Russians continue to take over foreign lands…..well, MAGA seems okay with letting Russia take what they want.

I’m just calling at how it is.
Get ready, because this war is going to end, and the mutually beneficial pseudo alignment with Russia—something unheard of to this point in modern history— could spur lasting peace in the former Soviet Union, making everyone safer. Donald Trump wasn’t my choice for the Republican candidacy in any of the last 3 elections, but I am thinking Americans may have voted into office the only man with the balls and foresight to pull this off.
Will it work? No clue. Bur, we know factually that’s what has been done in the past hasn’t worked . Just like Doge, we will know in a couple of years if it’s been a success .

Putin doesn't have to invade when Trumps in office because Trump will give it to him;

cie, and i'm going to type slowly and i'll try not to use too many words... we don't just want the war to end yesterday, we wish it had never happened. we wish vladimir putin was not such a small man that he desperately wants to build a legacy of "the leader that returned the former soviet states to mother russia." but he is. and he (despite what trump said, and then claimed to not remember saying) started the fucking war when he sent his troops into ukraine. and putin is the only person who can end this war right now.
this was an unprovoked invasion. and, please, spare us your usual bullshit about "wah wah wah, vladimir didn't want ukraine in nato." as i said a few months ago, that's revisionist history and it's been a right wing talking point for a while now.
ukraine has done an admirable job of defending itself against vastly superior forces. how many of their soldiers have died while defending their country? and now trump wants to sit down and work out a deal THAT DOESN'T INCLUDE UKRAINE??? are you fucking serious? what an insult to those soldiers and their families. "ok, we're just going to give putin what he wants. y'all died for nothing. we should have rolled over and played dead like putin thought we would in the first place."
