Doesnt everyone call with 9/3 offsuit as a starting hand?
why couldn't he have had pocket 9's?
As for Doochuck, it takes a long long time to adjust to online play. I do it for a living. Used to play live for living, but four years ago started playing online and reaped the benefits.
It is a different animal, but if you were successful live you will be able to adjust. Yes the games are faster and it can seem like the beats pile up.
Do yourself a favor and get pokertracker. Look through your hands and analyze your sessions. Take notes on people and put them on your buddy list Look for leaks in your game. The biggest problem people have with online is game selection. There are thousands of people making a living 8 tabling online. Not every game is good. Don't always go for the tables with biggest money percentage. Go for games with highest people seeing flop. Lots of looseys in those.
When I first started, I was convinced it was rigged. Still even have some doubts, but I know its not. Seriously, just put your chips in with the best of it or when you are mathematically inclined too, and in the long run you will win if you are a winning player. Random variance and speed of game cause players to believe they are being rigged or cheated when in fact they are just running bad. If you consistently play well, you will win in the long run. You can play break even poker or even losing poker for months at a time, but over the course of time you will win. It's just standard deviation catching you on the wrong side of it.
Also, if you don't like it don't play. No knock on you at all. I have no idea if you are a winning player or not, but if you say you are then I'll take your word for it. Theres nothing wrong with playing live. I just prefer online because I can four or eight table, wear boxers and a wifebeater all day, cap sports, and talk to you knuckleheads.
