Before you all call me a fool, I won't be betting money on games for the rest of the season, but it doesn't mean I can't pick games for fun right??? Heck, I'd probably end up winning games now that I don't have money on them with my twisted luck.
Instead of always picking teasers, I will start 0-0 and I will purely stick with straight bets, I won't have money management cause, well, cause I don't have any money to bet with anyways. I will start fresh with a new state of mind and a smarter gambler. :D

I could pick games alone, but it's more fun picking games with other gamblers like yourselves. It motivates me to pick games and keep track of my record everyday (on only straight bets from now on).

PS: I will have my Picks for Wednesday up soon. I like to pick my games really early right after the spread comes out :)

hi

hi

I meant Tuesday picks, not wednesday's picks on my original post, i'm one day ahead of myself..heh heh!!!

Hellah, looks like I'm joining ya on the sidelines, but you're right, why the hell not keeping picking games just because there isn't any money on them.......it's half the fun, but the good thing is that it's half the stress!! :D

OH NO KIDDING! I enjoy games more and more!! I actaully watch them and I can root for whatever my heart says. Its great...I however took the advice today of superbook and many others on my other thread...and I deposited 100 bucks and just playing gmaes 10 bucks at a time...went 1-1 today....Iam down .91 cents :D Shouldnt be that hard to build up...then again...this is gambling, and I dont think that Vegas likes me much :(

GL with your "fantasy" picks......LOL

BTW...you`ll go 36-0 this week because you dont have any money on any of your games...LOL

why not?

are you friggin' kiddin' me?

you kids are like lambs eager to enter the friggin' slaughterhouse.

Huge, Huge, Huge?

One-half my entire account?

Borrow $2000 to add to your last $500 to bet a ML that loses outright?

wtf?

get real

What do you really know about handicapping?

Do you think it's handicapping the matchup?

That's your first mistake.

What do you really know about money management?

Junior 44 said years ago the best handicapper he ever knew bet 50 cents a game.

That was a wise man. Why? (There is an answer)

Sportsbetting is not about figuring out a problem.

It's about solving a riddle.

Wise up.

I hate talking like this, but you kids seem so friggin naieve.

Hello there, I apologize for calling you a "fool"

I didn't have the right because I've qualified under the same title.

But you are at a very, very dangerous juncture.

Deal with your losses as best you can and don't bet.

If you can, get my email from Jack and drop me a line.

I'll get back to you.

hello there.

friendly advice. i think you should unplugg for a while.

i am fairly new to the handi capping game. 2 yrs ago i went under the name big worm on this site. i had just started capping, and somehow i ran across this incredible site. anyway, my first year i did just what you did. no money management. betting to much on a hunch, chaseing. lots of dumb halftime bets. picking every game on the board that someone here liked. before i knew it i was in a huge whole 10 large. i said id stop picking games for awhile but i liked it here so much i just hung around ALL THE TIME. if you truly dont want to bet money this place is not good for you.

ever watch someone eat a candy bar when your starving? you want one bad. same thing here, you want, ney must join in. thats what i did.continued to hang around, continued to chase. before i knew it my 10 large was 22,000. finally i forced myself to forget this site for awhile. my main concern was not to beat the spread but to pay off my debt. it was very hard at first but after awhile i didnt miss it much, then not at all. (i was gone so long i forgot my password thats why im Gibber now) a couple of years later im debt free! now im much more disciplined. i dont chase (much) i use a 2 to 5 unit system. i have my gambling under control and ive managed to make some money this year and that feels great!
and if i have a bad night. no biggy. i could have 12 bad nights before it started to effect my bankroll.

so please take some time off and get some control over this terrible affliction.

then maybe when youve gathered your self. wed love to have you back. but right now i think you should disappear for awhile

sincerely

the Gibber

hi

hi

gibber and buddy,
I mentioned I am not betting any money on my picks, so there is no way i can lose any more money, so everything is safe. Heck, what else am I going to do with my free time, twiddle my thumb and stare at the ceiling?? I rather be picking games, plus when I watch the games on tv, even though it doesn't mean as much, atleast it won't mean nothing at all :)

The point is,that won't last. Soon enough you will want real action on the games you are picking. Especially if you are winning, but probably even if you are losing. Then you will look for a way to play again.

It is your life and your decision and I wish you luck but I agree with Gibber that visiting this site is probably not a great idea, even if you are not planning on using real money on your plays.

But most likely, you'd be happy.. And you'd feel good about yourself.. All I can say is look up about 5 posts or so, and read what Gibber wrote again.. Best of luck to you in whatever you do..

hi

hi

What gibber said makes sense, but i'm not gibber, I am "hello there" and just because I'm back here, not betting money mind you, it does't mean I'll get sucked into betting money again, for the rest of the season atleast. When ya think about it, there are a lot of guys with girls, but why are they here??? Because they can have both. I mean, getting out more and finding a girl or hanging with friends or just doing other stuff is good, but it doesn't mean I have to stop picking games in order to do those other things too.

Hello there, the point people are thrying to make is you need to break away from this VICE for awhile. It doesnt matter that your just picking games for fun, sooner or latter those fun picks will hook u again. No different than a alcoholic drinking a non-alcoholic beer, sooner or later the temptation will win out.

Take all this free time you seem to have on your hands, work on paying off your debt, I would think your FRIEND might like their money back, dont you

But what do I know, only been at this game for 25 years. Who knows maybe 25 years from now you'll still be here giving this same advice to my son!
