Nothing they can door unless they catch a under age person being served a drink, the he said she said they sold me drinks won't fly. have to be caught in the act.
As for taking the bets i would lay low for a few weeks or make sure no new people are hanging around bar that you don't know, even if they don't ask if you take action, i would be aware of any new people drinking or hanging out. You could run your action if you wanted still but would set up a system where you make sure you know who is in bar when you do it and same when you pay out. Most bookies might get busted least back east a few times every 2 to 3 years and you can check the laws on gamming most states but I think it is 3 is a mm only, not like your pulling in 250 grand and up a year where they could send irs after you, this is small time extra cash for you and clients. Would not worry to much just watch for new faces like I said in the bar. You could have them call you at home if your really worried for a few months and give each client a players number and don't use names, this would make you do credit for a few months also, but the more I think about it the more I would not worry because of the small amounts you let them do, don't get me wrong I am sure in a year you can make good extra money, but not enough to raise the red flag, and at that limit I find it hard that you could screw someones life up also but would only deal with adults 30 and up IMO or if younger make sure you know them as well as you know your family.
