Here are a few reasons to bet Tb:
1)The public is on GB
2)Tb is a home dog in a division game.
3)GB has beaten Detroit, Washington and Carolina. Thats not exacly 3 superbowl contenders.
A few reasons to bet against TB:
1)Tb has no running game without Dunn.
2)Brad johnson sucks, he has no arm strength and can't throw a sharp "out" pattern.
3)Tb has looked lousy in beating Dallas and losing to Minn.

I suggest that Tampa should be a teaser play because they look very appetizing getting 9 points at home. Maybe tease it with an under 39.5 in the Raven vs. tenn game.

I got Tampa in a bunch of 7 point Teasers and my number is +4.Freeze, I think someone just got their thought backwards,I get what he meant. So if G.B. is such a 'solid' how come the number at most places is still TAMPA-3??? I know it's a number 'they'hate to move off ,but with ALL this G.B. money,am I the only one laying it in on TAMPA??? Spanky.. Oh, I feel pretty good ,Mrs.Spanky asked me to bet Ten whole bucks on G.B. and she is the biggest 'mush' in the world!!!

The Packers "D" should be able to control this offense especially without Dunn. Alstott has only 19 yards on 9 carries this year.
In my opinion, Tampa can not score enough points to keep up with the potent GB offense.
With this, I am Taking the points, and the better team. GB 3 units.

(I read this while capping the game and found it to be an interesting trend)

Including the playoffs, Packers QB Brett Favre is 14-4 in 19 career games (18 starts) vs. the Buccaneers, throwing for 4,394 yards, 32 touchdown passes and just 12 interceptions while being sacked 41 times.

Excellent post,

Green Bay will get the cheese

some food for thought...

GB fits this - teams that start the season 3-0 straight up and 3-0 ATS are just 7-18-2 ATS on the road in game 4 and teams that allow less than 10 points in 3 consecutive games are 0-11 ATS on the road in their next game the last 21 years while allowing an average of 28 points in those games.

Tampa Bay is 19-3 ATS in home games when they are not favored by more than 4 points, including 10-0 ATS recently.

Bubblehead,

Thanks for posting this information...just solidifies my position on Green Bay. I'll just call it the "law of averages". Such high percentages favor a turn around.

How can you bet big on a team that can't score? A team that hasn't looked good against to bad teams.Good luck but I think your crazy.

spanky,
I love your reasoning & I use the same principal when I bet my games. I just want to let you know that while I agree that Vegas doesn't usually make mistakes, they are not psychic.
Last week I thought that there must have been a reason why KC was only a 3 pt pick over Was. KC played tougher competition and was in every game that they lost. Was. on the other hand was embarrassed in its games. Also the public was all over KC. This game looked like a perfect setup. What happened...Was. was blown out & I lost my bet.
I agree with your pick (and will be on them myself), but just be careful not to put too much money on one game.

Good Luck
