This Arsenal game has been pretty wild , we just haven't got the bounces. A goal by the 75th will give a good chance at the sweep today :0corn
I like a few EFL Cup Overs today, I just need to figure out who is going to play.
yeah, totally makes sense. i am very curious to see what the lineups look like for all 3 of these games.
i was trying to determine what the starting 11 for liverpool would look like and i was about as successful as the dudes who ran the champions league draw for knockout rounds. lol
i think liverpool could play salah and mane 1/2 each but who the eff knows? such a mess
I put a little down on these 2 for now and will see how the wind blows with the lineups. These Serie A games are not going as planned.
LIVERPOOL/LEICESTER OVER 3 -105
TOTTENHAM/WEST HAM OVER 2.5 -115

After dropping the first 2 I thought it could of been "one of those days ", but got a nice recovery this afternoon to get it all back plus a few bucks. That wraps up things until boxing day on Sunday. There will be a steady stream of EPL action to get us to the New Year. HAPPY HOLIDAYS to anyone who checks into this thread , be safe gents .
I will back soon.:toast:
BOXING DAY 3 PACK
TOTTENHAM/CRYSTAL PALACE OVER 2.5 +100
There has been a lot of confusion as to whether this game would even play today. Yesterday evening reports were that it would be cancelled because some staffers on CP got Covid, and it was spreading through their organization. Now it appears as though the game is a go. I have liked what I have seen recently from Tottenham. I watched their game vs Liverpool, and the League Cup against WHU mid week, and they look like a totally different club. Conti is quickly getting his DNA injected into this squad, they are playing more lively, attractive football. Tottenham's offensive #'s were wretched through the first part of their campaign, but the recent form has been solid. The Spurs have scored 2 goals or more in 4 of their last 5 games overall. I will add that although their Defensive #'s at home are mid pack, they round out the bottom 5 for Expected Goals Against at home - xGA. This tells me they typically give up lots of chances, and have probably been somewhat lucky that they have not let in more. CP isn't the best road club, but I think they are capable of finding one here. They got shut out back to back in late November/early December, other than that the form going back the last 2 months is filled with multi goal games. On the Defensive side, CP is noticeably worse when they travel, and they have a road xGA of nearly 2 goals per game! I will take a try on this one at + money, I think there will be chances, and can see a 2-1 type of game.
ASTON VILLA/CHEALSEA OVER 2 , 2 1/2 -110
This game caught my eye when the lines opened at 2.5 -110 , now I can get the added protection of the Asian line at 2 , 2 1/2 at the same price, so I will take it. The book clearly sees this an Under, and that is fine with me. Villa Park will be rocking today for this Boxing Day match up as the Blues come to town. Villa is another team with a new coach, that has looked much more lively under Steven Gerrard. I have made a lot of money betting Overs with this Villa squad this year, and as far as mid pack clubs go I enjoy watching them play. Recent form shows that they have scored 2 goals or more in 4 of their last 6 games. They went through a buzz saw of Man City, Liverpool, and Leicester in the last few weeks, so they should be primed up for Chelsea. All of Villa's home games this year have had at least 2 goals scored total. Recent form shows 5 of their last 6 home games going over 2.5 , with Villa having multi goal games in 3 of those. Chelsea looked bullet proof for a good part of the year, and they were giving up next to nothing on the back end. They had a clean sheet against a rotated Brentford club in League Cup, and a shutout against the Wolves who are one of the worst scoring teams in the League. Those shutouts ended a run of 6 games in a row where Chelsea gave up a goal. I think Villa can get one here, and give Chelsea some problems. I think I can count on Chelsea here to do some heavy lifting , they are 3rd in the league in scoring after all with almost 2 goals per game. There is no drop off on the scoring front when Chelsea travels as they are 3rd in the league in xG on the road. If your feeling lively try some + money on this over. I see a 2-1, 2-2 type of game here as well.
WEST HAM/SOUTHAMPTON OVER 2.5 - 138
The Hammers have cooled off somewhat in recent weeks, but they are still right at the top as far as offensive metrics are concerned. WHU is 5th overall in the EPL in goals scored and are slightly better at home as far as goal scoring is concerned. Interestingly, Southampton is nowhere near the top of the charts as far as finding the net, but they have very solid Expected Goal #s. Southampton fills out the top 10 in xG overall, and xG on the road. Again, this says they are around the net plenty, but are not getting bounces. Southampton games have gone over in 4 of the last 5 games overall. The total has gone over 4 of the last 5 on the road, and they have given up 2 goals or more in 3 straight games - total of 9 goals! I see WHU at home on Boxing Day finding the net a few times, and Southampton should help our cause here as well.
Enjoy the games boys, I am at the in laws we have a Prime Rib going today, lots of sports, drinks, smoke, I am looking forward to it. :toast:
