I have got nothing to lose but the 195.00+99.00 hotel overnight stay.

Pro Football Combine

I am headed to the Pro Football combine, May 14, 2005 in Dallas , Texas (at North Texas)

If i score 8.50 or better, I will head to the 1st ever EliteFootball Combine at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis, IN June 11, 2005.

I have decided to go as a WR
I have 4 months and I have always kept in shape for the most part. I just upped my training to maniac level 9sprints, plyometrics, weights, etc)
I will be ready in May
I ordered my spikes, ordering training hurdles, agility ladder, power sleds, plyo-boxes, u name it)

I will keep you all posted on my progress every 2 weeks for the next 12 weeks

i just crushed my back today

i worked out like a nut today, so ill be sore tomorow. I need this mentality for Football (Eye of the Tiger)
I mean when May 14 comes here I will be ready to regulate. Right now im familiarizing myself with Wr patterns and ternimology, as well as skills which transfer to the playing field.
I am soooo freaking excited about this! :scared :spotting: :eek: :eek:
So I will give this everything i have !!!

work on your speed and cuts first, easy with going balls out on the power or you will lose days due to soreness or worse, you know that. Just sounds like you got alittle excited and went power to much, muscle memory comes back fast and you wer not off that long so don't threat the strength it will come back fast like i said as long as you don't over do it. get the cones and work on agility and lots of plyometrics always used them and weights everywhere I coached and if you check back when I was at west georgia i was not only assc. head baseball coach but strength coach for all sports. so use your head, speed and agility and hands first and power and strength will come, you have more then enough time for the power and strength part. 16 weeks you can change the whole body with easy, make sure you get almost 1.5 geams of protein times your weight each day, lee labroada has the best on the market no carbs, sugars of fat. lot of amino's and 40 grams of protein, that is all your body can take in at 1 time in 3 hours the rest will just be pissed away, high fiber brown not enriched white flour type stuff and not lot of it 25% tops will give you the energy you need and the protein and amino mixture twin lab has the best will do the trick also might want to invest in 2 things 1 call hot stuff the other hydroxide cut will help performance, so will creatain but watch your water on it.

Any one who works out or plays a game baseball, football, basketball, soccer hockey, any sport and a real work out you will be sore due to lactic acid built up in your body and the only way to get rid of it is jog and take off and in baseball long toss. you never amaze me James. You and that big double the story of your life. Maybe the ball found the bat happens a lot in hs baseball, little different the higher up you go:D

and one more little not even us eggplants have it, everyone has some dark blood in them somewhere in the family, look it up in a sociology book, there was never a pure white family tree, so dig deep enough and you will have some of your favorite blood in your family tree, could be yellow, could be tan, could be black, could be native american , your not a pure white race my friend.

Week #2

Week #2

Started 2-a days on Monday
I broke my workout into 2 parts, so I can go maximum intensity for each workout w/o fatigue. This will last 1 week. Next week i taper off anf 2-a days start again the following week.

I got my hurdles, so I put them to use immediately. (part of my plyometric workout) adjustable 6" to 42".
My weighted sled comes in Friday. (For use in increasing my running power and stride length)
I got a sidewinder (used for lateral quickness and explosiveness..(hip flexor, etc)

my Dard came in too (dynamic axial resistance device) works the anterior tibialis (excellent device)

My overspeed training unit will come sometime next week (increased stride frequency)

will keep everyone posted on Progress
