I'm just curious, when you go to the dealership to buy a diesel powered pickup truck

Prius's have a way of automatically making the driver self righteous and one of the biggest pricks in the land. Like they can do no wrong - and that they alone are saving the environment by driving a Prius (ignoring all the pollution caused in the making of the battery of the car).

The other thing about following a Prius - prepared to go very slow. Prius's are 3rd on the list of cars you don't want to be behind unless you want to go 10 MPH below the posted limit - the other two are Buick's and Minivans.

Smartcars didnt make the list:shrug:

While i know you are simply mocking those w/ different taste and perspective than you, i thought i'd drop in on my 1st (or is it 2nd ) day back

It seems every post that you've had since you came back is to mock those w different taste than yours. It highly comical, I just can't determine whether the hypocrisy is ironic or not. Regardless, it on another level. Carry on.

How do they know if you're a big enough dickhead to own one?

Is there a test you have to take, do they check the driver's side of your existing truck for tobacco spit stains, do they look under the rear bumper for those fake ball sacks or what? Is it just if you pull in with 100% non color matching body panels and a rebel flag on your 1983 Ford Ranger that you can now own a diesel powered truck?

There must be some sort of qualifier because the only people I see driving them are massive asshats. I guess someone would want one for towing or hauling, but I never see them hauling anything, if fact most have tonneau covers on them to prevent just such a chore.

Towing? Forget about it, that would obstruct that gigantic plume of diesel dust you put out when you smash the accelerator (accelerator, lol) for no good fucking reason other than to compensate for your small penis size.

Also, why exactly does the exhaust tip need to be the same diameter as a manhole cover? Just more compensation?
Hilarious thread only because I see these everyday out here. They cut 14" round holes in the truck bed to run a 12 chrome pipe exhaust right up behind passenger side. See them every am when I stop to get my coffee. Cant imagine putting a load of mulch or whatever in the bed of these trucks without it catching fire. Take it easy on the chewin tabacky tho, I quit smokin 18 months ago, never woulda made it with out a pinch:0074

Bout 18 months myself, do you still feel a need to have that 'pinch' every now and then, or do you still do the pinch.

Still doin pouches and McDonalds coffee stirrers daily

Okay thanks. I know I would have probably never made it initially if I wasn't on the nicotine patches for the first 6 weeks. I never realized how much they did for me until a lot later, when I still had an urge every now and then. I was cruising on those patches, not bothered at all. But I smoked for about 40yrs with only a couple of small stops of about 6 weeks one time and 2 months another; so I guess the addiction ran pretty deep for me. I'm not saying I'm bothered much, but just every now and then, and get a little frustrated. But I don't want to start back no matter what, and I don't want to just go from one addiction to another; but we have to do whatever we have to do sometimes just to get us through I guess.

I was smoker for over 40 years as well (yes Im 54, do the math), used to chew back in school, came time to quit cigs and substituted Grizzly. At least now I can breath.
Know I gotta get off nicotine totally, but for now I just brush my teeth 3 times a day, could be worse.

I need to get out wisconsin to see some of these colorful characters.

I must ask, though. The hoodrat's customized piece of shit could be the best he can afford. Why wouldnt he be proud of it? Remember, not everyone is a retired mailman

Really? That's a stretch, even for you.

Now that I work at NAPA I see these asshats more often. We live in a large farming community. Farmers drive diesels. I'm ok with that. What I hate are the smart ass kids who walk in and start spewing crap about how their turbo is blah blah and they have a 6 inch lift kit on it and when they leave the parking lot they "roll coal." They are the same kids who have balls hanging from their bumpers. They usually have no respect for anyone and that bugs me the most.

I have an F150 just like that one with more rust and age, only use it to pull my boat, Ice fish and drive through a foot of snow.... doesn't have the pipes though.

Amen! Could be worse, I say that all the time it seems but not a bad way to look at things. Survival till a miracle happens, that's the way I look at a lot of things it seems.

Is it red? I've only seen one red f150

yep it looks exactly like that one minus a few minor details, it's an older truck more of a beater, great for a.guy like me who only puts about 3-5 k miles a year, up here where 4 x 4 is necessary to go to work on occasion that truck style is common and they look just like that. mine isn't diesel though

I drive a Diesel Ford f250 super duty fx4 but it doesn't have all that shit and is quiet as a church mouse. It hauls better and gets better mileage. Less maintenance and will easily run 300,000 miles without a problem. It was designed for what I use it for. I am hauling something every day. Either my boat and gear to a tournament just down the street from Dunclock, a little inside joke, or I haul equipment for work. I also have a couple trailers for the big machines so it makes the most sense for me. Mine isn't raised nor does it have horns and balls hanging from the hitch
