Just not the same group of Madjackers anymore that used to go to Vegas and share fun times together. Kickserv, send out a poll, asking how many guys now do the following:

A. Been to Vegas in the last 12 months

B. Have met up or responded to people going out there?

C. Maybe no one goes anymore because gambling is so easy at home?? Or maybe all those guys that went out there are just gone now. My wager would be on this answer. If Jack is out there now there used to be fun threads following him, or others would be there too. I am guessing life has just gotten in the way of everyone to even care, which does happen. Anyhow, Happy New Year to Madjackers, and lets all us followers hope Jord stays as cool and positive posting as he does. I love that dude and what he gives to this place. Thank you Jord.

I went twice last year. I thought about going again for one of the playoff weekends but decided against it. I already decided that I wasn't going for the Super Bowl week but that might change if a certain team makes it there.

Vegas doesn't do it for me anymore. I know I might sound like an old fogey but it's just not the same for me anymore although I probably go more these days than I did years ago. 2023 I went only twice though, so it is slowing down. The offers I get always brings me back but they will slow down too since I only went twice last year.

I can't stand airports and flying anymore.

I used to WIN at least half the time but it's hard for me to remember my last winning trip. I guess back in 2022 I had a few.

Have a good time.

Kickserv, send out a poll

1st off....here is the poll.......

and my 2 cents........

The "meeting in Vegas" thing has a bit to do with Vegas being a hassle now (just not worth it) but more to do with the Madjack Community getting older, and well some that are no longer alive. In other words there aren't exactly a ton of "young bucks" on here. Sometimes ya get older, ya just say fuck it. Plus add to the fact that Las Vegas ain't what it used to be, once somebody gets ripped off (which happens a lot in Vegas now), people say fuck that shit and never go back. It doesn't matter if you want to meet some peeps there or not, lots of people now have had shitty trips to Las Vegas and vow to never visit there again.

And that concludes my "two cents"

I get it, althjough we go for the restaurants as well, have to get my semi-annual Piero's (best Italian ever, anywhere), Mott 32 for the duck and spicy sweet/sour soup (best ever, anywhere), Joe's stone crabs, and Amalfi by Bobby Flay. Was going to see U2 at the Sphere, but not playing our weekend, so going to the experience instead for 90 bucks, have to at least see it inside, right?? And also seeing one our favorite bands and acquaintances on the 20th, Collective Soul who are from here in ATL. Have known Ed for many years (almost 25 now, we are all getting old). Cheers

I still go around 6-8 times per year but have never met up with anyone from MJs. I have a YouTube gambling channel and we can only film our content out there so we have to go often

Vegas is still amazing. But the sports betting is a joke out there. If you want to do In Play betting it's a nightmare with not many options and the quick limiting that Boyd, Stations, BetMGM do. Will Hill is the best app for in play but it shuts down and restarts all the time and is a big nightmare.

Flying is such a bitch these days. It's awful.

If flights were $3,000 it would help cut down on the amount of unwashed traveling.
NOW you're talkin'!! And the beauty of Vegas... just gotta up your bets a little to win that $3K. The trip pays for itself every time!

Chump, are you out there this week? Jack has my number if you are.

Travel does suck sometimes, but if you want to spend $3000 for two people and have good seats, good attention, on first/off first, free bags, day access to Sky Lounge it's called First Class. Pretty much available and you don't have to mingle with "unwashed travellers". Sheezus :rolleyes:

WG, the experience at the Sphere is pretty cool but it's only like 50 minutes long. My wife took her workers to it for Xmas and I tagged along. Hopefully you aren't in the 400s section cuz it is STEEP getting up there. Parking was a major bitch but it was during F1 so maybe that had something to do with it. I've been here for going on 12 years and Vegas is so corporate now and it totally blows. Comps and rewards have been virtually eliminated since Covid hit. I RARELY hit the Strip unless I have friends/family in town, everything is just so overpriced and the service sucks. Even my local casinos suck (Red rock/Rampart/Scumcoast). The weather should be spectacular after we had our 2 weeks of winter here recently but I'm seeing mid 60s for the remainder of the month. Have a great time!!

Sorry Feelgood, my bad. It was awesome and never disappoints. Got on some bad rolls first two days losing 5k at Craps so that sucked but always prepared for it. All the food and friends with dinner was great as always. Piero's was awesome, owner was there in his wheelchair sharing stories with guests, listened in and what a treat, will never fail to eat here and neither should anyone visiting. Joes Stone Crabs had Colossal, which were 6 total and with hash brown potatoes we were stuffed before the concert at 5pm. I wanted a nap, but had to trudge through and get to the Palms. Palms was awesome, great renovation. And then the good news.....Sunday was fortunate to get on two separate heater rolls with 4 good buds at a table in Palazzo. one 30 minutes and the other almost an hour, hit six points, 7's would roll on come out rolls only, hit the hard ten, hard eight, hard 6, etc. Walked away with $12,350 and that is just how craps and luck is as people here know. That is what makes the city fun for me, sorry so many are poo-poo-ing it because travel, danger, etc. Yeah travel sucks but its part of anything if you want to see the world Gents. Going to Havana Cuba in two months, will start a thread on it to see who has been. Cheers bud, next time want to meet you for sure, and thanks for asking
