B tried to update her iPhone and back it up. It quit working and gave this error

Now it won't turn on (only shows above). When connected to the computer, it also gives an error message. Waiting 54 minutes now for apple support. If anybody here can help me with this or has ideas, I would much appreciate it. Thanks.

The iPhone is identified under unspecified as
"Apple Mobile" Device USB Driver

It doesn't even recognize it as an iPhone. I think that's why iTunes will do nothing as well. Update and Restore do not work.

I just saw the answer to that today when I googled about my battery. I cannot find it now. Try to restart the phone, and that should help

If your device turns on but gets stuck during start up

You might see the Apple logo or a red or blue screen for a long time during start up. Try these steps:
Connect your device to a computer and open iTunes. If you don't have a computer, you can borrow one, or go to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for help.
While your device is connected, force it to restart. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. Don't release when you see the Apple logo. Keep holding until you see the Recovery mode screen.

When you get the option to restore or update, choose Update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

iTunes will download the software for your device. If it takes more than 15 minutes, your device will exit recovery mode and you'll need to repeat steps 2 and 3 again.

What OS on your computer. It matters.

That's how a lot of people back there phones up to keep from losing data on your phone

Mine backs up to iCloud automatically when charging with wifi connected.

Yes, but there are still many that do not use cloud and use there computer.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong then.

But I'm not hooking it to my computer if I'm gonna get what sixfive got.

I'm happy just the way it works now. :0008

iCloud is free

Nothing gonna get lost there but you can lose everything on your computer.

Oh well, I hope you get it resolved, Clint. :0008
